Lovely maple lodge! Wish my visit was longer, dint get there till 9.15pm. Was met by the lovely manager, who showed me promptly to my room coz I needed a shower!!! What a surprise my room was absolutely lovely, spotlessly clean and a bed to die for! Had to be up and off for half seven, which was difficult as...

Stayed mid week with three dogs and the owner was so welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere of the place was lovely and the room was well equipped. Had an English breakfast included in the price which was tasty and the location was really good right on the canal so somewhere to take the dogs for a morning stroll. Would definitely...

Very welcoming and helpful. We stayed here because it's the closest to the halfway point of the Leeds Liverpool canal. We had been cycling all day and very muddy, they laundered and dried our kit and locked our bikes away as well. They also opened up the dining room so we could order a takeaway and had a proper place...

Received a lovely warm welcome from Philip and was shown to a very clean room with en-suite. The room had tea, coffee and even a bottle of water. A selection of books and DVD's were also provided which would cater to all ages and tastes - alas I only stayed one night so couldn't take advantage. Breakfast was delicious and...

We had a three night stay at Maple Lodge. A modernized 17th century building. The room was clean with a pretty four poster bed, which was an added and unexpected bonus. We were given a very friendly welcome and help was given taking our luggage up to our room. We were given useful advise on where to go to eat...

Philip was very helpful, allowing me to cancel (for free) the booking I'd mistakenly made and to book later on at the same very good rate. Nothing was a problem to him and the rooms and bed were very comfortable. And the breakfast was great!! Thanks Philip - I'll be sure to come back if I'm ever down that way...

Lovely one night stay. Hosts Philip and Sandra were lovely, warm welcome and couldn't do enough for you. We stopped in the Maple Suite, a very large room with en-suite on the front of the property even though it's on a busy road hardly hear any road noise. Breakfast cooked to order, and can do evening meals on request Monday...

Excellent value for the money, great breakfast, excellent local knowledge, nothing too much trouble. Great spot for the half way point of cycling the Leeds to Liverpool canal as it is literally 200 yards from the canal. We stayed in the annex which was very roomy and the beds were comfy much appreciated after 64 miles in the saddle LOL....

Cycling from Liverpool to Leeds on the canal tow path required a half way stopover. Wasn't sure what Clayton Le Moors was going to be like, but this guest house was great. Everything was provided and the accommodation was perfect, really clean and well looked after. The host even locked our bikes up in his Transit van for safety. Brilliant...
