You get what you pay for. Hotel is a bit dated and needs some decor tlc. Noisy plumbing, paper thin walls (so you hear next doors snoring!) and bathroom maintenance that's needed. Lovely welcome from the receptionist and a good cooked breakfast, but be prepared to wait for it!

Arrived today 29th September 2016. Absolutely fantastic welcome from Hotel Receptionist. Excellent location. Rooms are lovely. Every thing you require. Ideal for the motorway, a must visit to Riley Green Canal at least 8 minutes away. Afternoon lunchtime trip on the Romance Canal Cruiser. Staff very friendly and professional. Food was top notch. Only a couple of negative comments. 1... More

Looks nice from the outside, unfortunatly rather dated on the inside. The staff seemed friendly. By midnight, no more alcohol due to the venues license which is fine but not great when theres 20 plus people still wanting to party. By 0030 staff got a tad demanding wanting us to leave the function room. Lights turned off when people still... More

Jonathan B We are aware that the hotel is a little dated and are working towards updating. However this takes time. We take great pride in our customer service and have had countless reviews to confirm this fact. At the time any function is booked our hotel policies are explained. This includes the bar times, licencing and drinking up time... More

I would liked to have enjoyed dinner and a few drinks at the boar, alas I arrived far too late however the owners were ever so friendly and helpful, my room was spacious, clean and comfortable. In the morning the staff were great and my breakfast was fantastic (including black pudding yay!) I feel as if I should have been... More

Stayed on Saturday night and the receptionist was very welcoming even offering us the chance to take drinks from the bar to the room as we returned late after an evening in Blackpool. Excellent location for visiting Blackpool/ Ribble Valley and Lake District - close to main roads but nice and quiet location . Good breakfast in pleasant surroundings

A warm and friendly greeting, rooms larger than the usual and a good breakfast in a light and airy room. Stunning value. Brook House is conveniently situated for motorway access with plenty free parking. Two large supermarkets are nearby.

Excellent customer service. the staff were really friendly and helpful better than anything I have experienced for a long time..The food was ok - I think the chicken option was better than the beef. There was a taste of vinegar with the beer. portions were small but on the chicken option this seemed ok, no extra potatoes or veg offered..... More
