Attending a wedding nearby and The Royal Oak was ideal for our needs for the weekend, nice clean bedroom, lovely and warm with tea making facilities. Great staff, nothing too much trouble and very welcoming, good bar, 4/5 cask ales if you like a beer, excellent breakfast. Free car parking at the Hotel. I hope stay there again sooner rather... We were attanding a function in Garstang and wantted somewhere central to stay for one night and the Royal Oak was perfect. It is very much a small town Pub/Restaurand and was very reasonably priced. We enjoyed a few drinks in the Bar before getting ready for our funtion nearby and everyone was so friendly and of course the local... More

On entering the hotel All the staff were brilliant.. ROOM has recently had a major overhaul and is fitted out to a very high standard. Very little noise from within the hotel... More

I eat here every one or two weeks. It's my main reason for visiting Garstang. The food is fresh and tasty and always plentiful. The pub is cosy and clean and it's very reasonably priced. I wouldn't eat anywhere else in Garstang and I'm a fussy old bigger. Highly recommended!

I stayed at the Royal Oak for two nights whilst visiting family in Garstang. The room was adequate for our needs and for the price of £60 per night with breakfast. Breakfast was of good quality and very enjoyable. A bonus was that they allowed our two dogs to stay with us in the room. All in all a pleasant... More

Ground floor Is basically a large pub with hotel accommodation above, well located in the centre of Garstang. Lots of separate areas decorated in a somewhat dated style. Lots of fabric bench seating around the walls. We ate from the regular menu. I had garlic mushrooms to start, my colleague had deep fried king prawns. Both were kind of OK... More
