We stumbled across this little gem as we were exploring the Lincolnshire coastline so popped in for a spot of lunch. From the off the hosts were friendly, welcoming, and couldn't do enough for us. My wife had the Chicken Pate and I chose the deep dish Steak & Ale pie...WOW! Never tasted a pie as rich in flavour and brimming with quality beef! Thankfully, the lady who cooked it told me the secret ingredients which made it so special, so I'm going to try and replicate it at home (but I don't expect it will be anywhere near the quality of hers) Will definitely return

What a lovely old fashioned English pub and hotel , loved it ! The hosts were the best and already I have booked another visit in a couple of weeks. The breakfast was very good , staff friendly polite & efficient. Room was large and spacious , ours overlooking the garden. Parking good, plenty of room. We were at a wedding pretty much opposite so location was perfect for us. The following day took us to Sutton on Sea as recommended by the hosts and it was so nice , quiet and dog friendly , beautiful beach

What a delightful place in a small historic country town. Very friendly with great service, clean and smart room. Good parking - only 15 minutes drive to the broad sands of Mablethorpe and not much further to the restaurants and nightlife of Skegness. Great value too. What's not to like?

Just returned from a most enjoyable five day break, The Half Moon is an excellent place to stay, very clean with pleasant, helpful staff. The couple who own the hotel are exceptional, nothing is any problem and very friendly, can certainly recommend.

We visited recently and to say the least it was a bit basic for the price paid. The guest rooms and the toilets downstairs need to be refurbished. We did save on food though as we were staying upstairs. The TV's in the hotel room was large and modern which was good.

Used this hotel for one night during our 2 day Lincolnshire Wolds break. Good sizes free car park. Was greeted by the hosts who were all really lovely. Ate in the restaurant at night, there were a few ingredient availability issues but that is the norm these days, we sorted it out and were happy with the replacements. Fresh seats, comfy bed and fantastic towels, just on the right side of a bit rough which is how I like them, too soft and you can't dry properly. Had every facility you could wish for. I would certainly stay again.

We stayed here for a night. We were greeted by a very well kept beer garden area and shaded walkway which looked beautiful. The owners were at reception and made us feel welcome - as advised on our booking we were bringing a dog and they even knew his name as soon as we arrived. The room was lovely and clean with everything you need and maintained to a high standard. We had a meal in the restaurant the reservation ticket on the table even had the dogs name on which was a great touch. The food and service were amazing the owners and employees must be dog lovers because they made such a fuss over him, he felt like royalty! We had an uninterrupted sleep it was lovely and quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were on hand for anything we needed. We left recharged and ready to take on the day. Thank you to everyone at the Half Moon our stay was great and your staff are a credit to you! If we are in Lincolnshire again we won’t hesitate to stay here again. From the Yules and Benji xx

My wife and I stayed for a night recently and both the room we had and the dinner were lovely. Best of all was the friendly service we received from the owners and their team. The car park was a decent size too. Thank you.

We booked The Half Moon for a Wake. We’re not from the area so everything was organised over the phone and via email - Helen and Keira made this super easy for us and were so so helpful! They sent us over a menu with plenty of options to choose from and when we got there the room and the food looked beautiful! We had sandwich options and afternoon tea with cream scones and cakes. It was the perfect end to an emotional day and everybody enjoyed what was available!

Recommend by our B n B owner at Anchor house and what a great place it is to. The very warmest welcome from the owner and our waiter, the knowledge for Gluten free was amazing went above and beyond always a plus when the knowledge re cross contamination etc is offered without even asking. Our waiter was so attentive and a credit to the pub. Had the best meal I’ve had in ages chicken with a Stilton sauce yum yum, and sticky toffee pud and custard just wow was gorgeous. My husbands meal was great to and the menu was really good. Barmaid was a lovely lady to. How great to have such amazing service nowadays . Will definitely go back when In area.
