We found Asenby Hall to be a little hidden gem. We received a very warm welcome on arrival when Clare came out to greet us. A traditional good old B & B (in the most respectful way). Within minutes we were offered tea & homemade biscuits. The accommodation was of high standard. Comfortable bed and a large warm bathroom/shower with...

We spent a lovely night in Clare and John's B&B - totally relaxing and a home from home - without any cooking or washing up!! We had the double room, which was beautifully furnished, very comfortable - teamaking facilities, radio, hairdryer, free Wi-Fi but no TV - which was actually a refreshing change and not a problem at all. The...

Folks we had a brilliant stay at this fantastic value bed and breakfast, warm welcome, freshly baked scones with a lovely pot of tea and home made preserves. Our double room was fab but as if you want a TV you will be disappointed as there is no such thing, but there is great Wi Fi speed so you can...

After a wet ride up, Clare greeted us with a drying room for the kit, a hot brew and home made scones - very welcome indeed. A nice place, large room with bathroom, shower etc in the adjoining room. No TV but is that a bad thing? Lovely breakfast and secure under cover parking for the bike. Clare and John...

Stayed at Asenby Hall on Saturday April 30th what a lovely property and village. Very welcoming family. The balance was right for a B & B very welcoming but not over intrusive. Wonderful breakfast in the morning although we struggled due to having eaten an awful lot at the Crab and Lobster the previous evening. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed two excellent nights here in late February. It was the perfect place from which to re-explore the real joys of Yorkshire - The Dales, Harrogate's Bettys and York! Throughout our stay at Asenby Hall we could have not been better looked after - from Clare's warm welcome and great breakfasts to John's rapport and local knowledge. A really...

We stayed here for two nights as we were attending a local event and were delighted with our choice. The hosts were warm and friendly (without being intrusive), the house was a lovely eighteenth century building, beautifully decorated and furnished with interesting antiques. We too were greeted with tea and home made cake - delicious! And the breakfasts lived up...

We recently stayed here as we were attending the Crab and Lobster for a retirement meal and the price to stay there was substantial to say the least. The room was beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. It was very cold outside and so Clare gave us a lift down to the restaurant for which we were very grateful. After a...

Having decided to eat at the crab and lobster we were looking for somewhere to stay that was local, welcoming, and good value. Asenby Hall is all that - and then some! After a warm welcome we were offered a drink with home made scones and homemade plum jam (oh my goodness the jam was good!). Great to chat with...
