We had a fine stay here for one night and would strongly recommend readers to visit. The staff were really friendly throughout our stay both at reception and at meals. The breakfast was first class with plenty of choice-the porridge was divine-taken in the main restaurant in a beautiful room, where we also had our dinner This Hotel was converted...

Lots of charm, character and history. Reasonable room (no mini bar) and ordered room service - no bottled ales (!) so had a lager. Fish was nice, but chunky chips only briefly shown the fryer. Struggled to eat them. Good service at breakfast and nice friendly staff. Slightly prefer the Judges Hotel down the road.

gr8 stay, room was superb, clean and modern the hotel was built in 1908 and has features of a stately home but with all the mod cons. Breakfast was served at your table and the food was top notch. The hotel is situated about 5 mins. from Yarm and close to northallerton and middlesborough . In Yarm there are lots...

Just returned from a great night away with my partner at Crathorne Hall. We stayed in the Whitby room which was spotlessly clean and well equipped with fast wifi, a modern TV and a nice array of toiletries to name a few. The lady on reception (didn't get her name unfortunately) was very friendly and helpful, as was the hotel...

My daughters wedding was between Christmas and New Year. She chose Crathorne as they offered exclusive use of the hotel and seemed very professional. Unfortunately halfway between booking and paying deposits etc the original wedding coordinator left and there were a few problems with what was agreed as original emails went missing. Luckily my daughter kept everything and the Manager...

Wonderful country house . Warm welcome from very helpful staff. Shown to our enormous suite. Small gift and card for my wife's birthday . Forgot to book a table for dinner so ate late which was made even later by a busy hotel but that aside everything was excellent even when the wine we ordered with our meal didn't turn...

First of all this was a one night stay with dinner bed and breakfast, 1st impression is what a fantastic building on the edge of North Yorkshire and easy access from Middlesbrough. Walking in via front door it was a really cold corridor leading to reception, which seemed odd for a hotel in January! Anyway the porter showed us to...

Stayed overnight in an executive room. The welcome at reception was good, we were shown to our room by a porter who was very helpful and informative. The room was lovely, clean and had all the usual facilities expected of a luxury hotel. We had a drink before dinner in the Nancy Tennant bar which had a open fire which...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Built in 1906, with captivating views of the Leven Valley on the edge of the Yorkshire Moors, Crathorne Hall is at once grand and stately, warm and welcoming. Owned by the Dugdale family until 1977, the hall has played host to politicians, courted royalty and delighted socialites over the decades. Yet despite moving in stately circles, the house has stayed true to its roots as a place of entertainment and relaxation. Now it is yours to explore. Enjoy an overnight stay in one of our 37 bedrooms (17 of which have recently been refurbished following a £4 million restoration of the Hall's East Wing), plan your perfect day and take over the hotel for your wedding or inspire your delegates with our meeting facilities. ... more   less
