This is a former stately manor and is extremely grand set in extensive grounds just off the A19. Staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. I was surprised at the quality of everything for the price we paid as we expected it to be somewhat run-down for the money but it was not. We found the food superb both at breakfast...

We were a group of 7 here for a special birthday treat for their set afternoon tea menu. We had booked to use the Nancy Tennant room rather than the adjacent dining room are as we wanted the comfortable chairs and settee upon which to relax rather than sit upright at a table. This area had been laid out for...

My husband surprised myself and my mum with afternoon tea at Crathorne Hall for mothers day. The total experience was lovely, sandwiches and cakes were delicious and the staff were excellent, especially the lady who served us (unfortunately I didn't get her name). Thank you for a really enjoyable experience.

Stayed here for a night in a lovely room overlooking the gardens. I'm leaving this review not to criticise but to feedback so hope it's taken in this manner. There's much good about it, and I will return - staff are friendly, our room was lovely, the building is beautifully set, and it's a very peaceful place. There are however,...

A beautiful setting for an overnight stay whilst meeting up with old friends. Receptionist staff were polite, courteous and very helpful. Our double room was lovely, with large ensuite offering bath and over bath shower. Bed was very comfortable with good quality linen. Breakfast offered good choice of traditional foods. Would highly recommend and think price was very good value.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Built in 1906, with captivating views of the Leven Valley on the edge of the Yorkshire Moors, Crathorne Hall is at once grand and stately, warm and welcoming. Owned by the Dugdale family until 1977, the hall has played host to politicians, courted royalty and delighted socialites over the decades. Yet despite moving in stately circles, the house has stayed true to its roots as a place of entertainment and relaxation. Now it is yours to explore. Enjoy an overnight stay in one of our 37 bedrooms (17 of which have recently been refurbished following a £4 million restoration of the Hall's East Wing), plan your perfect day and take over the hotel for your wedding or inspire your delegates with our meeting facilities. ... more   less
