Visited for the second time this year . This time for a business lunch . Every course superb and great value for Money . This place is on the up and this visit showed this . Best dish for me was the pork belly though the steak tartare was a close second . Thank you Peter and team 🍽🍽🍷

Two couples went for dinner and a stay over: for us it was a first visit and we have arranged to return. If you have stayed at The Star in Harome I would say that you will enjoy this more. The food was everything that you might expect, with a fine menu at the right prices. And it was inventive...

This has to be the best Birthday Dinner I have ever experienced and I am 73 years old! I went with my wife and two friends. Welcomed upon arrival and went to one of their two seating areas for drinks. Then after selecting our food from an excellent menu we sat in a very comfortable lounge. The restaurant was well...

2nd visit and this time with our son and grandparents for a night between xmas and new year. Great service and really good food. Expertly decorated lounges perfect to relax in. Swimming pool a bonus for our 7 year old. Stayed in the 'cottage' with the open fire ready to light in the lounge- our son loved his room with...

Stopped here for two nights during our Inn Travel walking foodie tour through Yorkshire. Awesome. The hotel was cozy, service was good, breakfast was great, dinner was amazing. I went with a friend, and it was good for that. Looks like it would have been even better for a romantic get away. We started our trip here, and the other...

Stayed here a few days ago for work and my second stay in a few months. What stands out most is the great service from all staff I met. They go out of their way to help without having to ask. I've stayed in their smallest room and a nice sized four-poster - both were very comfortable with every thing...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Pheasant has arguably one of the most beautiful Country Hotel settings in North Yorkshire, over looking the duck pond in the picturesque village of Harome. Originally converted from what had been the blacksmith's shop, village shop and barns, the main part of the hotel offers one single and eleven double rooms, whilst in the sheltered courtyard are two suites, the Pheasant Suite and Plum Cottage, each with its own private entrance, two further family rooms which each have two bedrooms and the heated indoor swimming pool. The stylish and highly individual interiors - designed by Director Jacquie Pern - give the accommodation a homely and welcome feel, which continues throughout the public areas: the lounge, bar, conservatory, dining room and terrace, providing a variety of options of where to eat or enjoy a drink. The Pheasant has established a reputation for great food under the capable hands of Chef/Director Peter Neville. Residents and non-residents can choose from a wide range of menus, all taking advantage of the wealth of local, seasonal produce, including a fixed price daily Market Menu, the A la Carte, and a Tasting Menu with optional matched wine package. The Pheasant has been awarded Welcome to Yorkshire's "Small Hotel of the Year 2016". In 2014 The Pheasant was awarded the Yorkshire Life "Small but Special Accommodation" Award. The Hotel has recently been awarded Three AA Red Stars Inspectors' Choice Country House Hotel. Seasonal and special breaks are available throughout the year. ... more   less
