We returned to Goldsborough Hall for our anniversary, after having our wedding reception here last year. It was equally as amazing as how I remembered it. The staff are so very welcoming & made a bit of a fuss of us! Alison, on reception, the restaurant staff, and of course James, the General Manager. It was lovely to see everyone... More

The amount of work that the current owner's have put in to restore this beautiful building back to its former glory is breath-taking. The establishment is staffed by an enthusiastic, friendly and efficient team eager to help. The restaurant knocks out really good quality food come dinner time, the breakfast is superb after a nights slumber in the immaculate, well... More

We went here last week, to celebrate my sister's 80th birthday. We had 3 rooms. Everyone of them perfect. Breakfast, and the 5 course taster meal where excellent. Every member of staff we met, where so helpful, and friendly. Especially the young man on reception. The house, and grounds looked great with a covering of snow.

We stayed for one night and we will definitely return. This hotel is exceptional; it is more like staying in someone's very grand home, it's so unlike anywhere else we have stayed. The gardens are beautiful, the reception staff (Alison) extremely welcoming and helpful. The room, the Hanson Suite was really lovely; huge bed, luxurious bedding and spectacular views of... More

The Hall itself and the grounds are superb...especially in the late autumn sunshine. We stayed in the annex but the Harewood room was beautiful. Well sized and tasteful. We didnt have the evening meal..possibly slightly costly when having wine but would have no reason to believe it wouldnt be excellent...everything else was.

Goldsborough Hall and it's gardens are outstanding . The taster meal was simply magnificent and certainly exceeded our expectations and can say one of the best meals we have had. Our York room was everything you wanted with well fitted bathroom large TV with tea / coffee etc. The quality of the sheets and fittings were perfect. What can we... More

We only had a one night stay here but would have loved to have stayed longer. The hotel has some of the trappings of luxury and is set in really beautiful surroundings, infact you could spend half a day walking around the gardens. We had the travelzoo voucher costing £189 for an overnight stay with the 5 course taster menu... More

We chose to book the Summer deal of the 5 course tasting menu, deluxe room and breakfast for £189 for an anniversary weekend. The weekend we chose fell outside of the offer time period, but the staff at Goldsborough were very accommodating and allowed us to have the same offer on the dates that suited us. Communication leading up to... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Goldsborough Hall is a beautifully restored, privately owned stately home tucked away in the small village of Goldsborough, just off the A59 between Harrogate and the A1M. The 400yr old hall has had many residents through the years, being built for the high sheriff of Yorkshire, the last resting place of the eldest founding father to all thoroughbred horses and most famously the first family home of HRH Princess Mary, the aunt of our current Queen. ... more   less
