Our 2nd stay here. What a stunning place yet relaxed feel. Lascelle room is extra special with an 8ft 4 poster bed, 150" screen, leather sofa, mini bar and jacuzzi bath set in a bay window over looking acres of beautiful land, oh bliss! The staff are friendly, smartly dressed and very accommodating. I recommend afternoon tea it's delicious. The...

The hall is tucked away at one end of the lovely English village of Goldsborough and once through the archway entrance & gates you encounter a perfect piece of England in this fabulous hall. The gardens are very well kept and lovely to walk around, the staff are very polite, helpful & attentive and the food is excellent. Our room...

We were guests in Goldsborough Hall for but one brief night on our passage from Scotland to Heathrow - but it was truly an amazing accommodation and the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The staff were remarkably helpful and kind. The food was great as well - a truly memorable stay -- will return when...

My Mum and I had afternoon tea at Goldsborough Hall yesterday, we had such a perfect afternoon. There was an exceptional choice of sandwiches, followed by beautiful desserts. The staff are very kind, attentive and efficient. The grounds of the Hall are stunning, we enjoyed a walk around the grounds afterwards. I booked the deal through Travelzoo and would definitely...

I'd like to make it clear that the hall itself and gardens are beautiful, no question about that, however, the rooms and management were beyond poor, I felt disgusted. Point 1: this is a guest house not a hotel and needs to stop being marketed incorrectly Point 2: the room was tiny, it was a struggle to walk around the...

What can I say about this hotel? "Perfect" is the only word to describe our stay. Hotel owners and staff are so friendly. The chef went for the extra mile to provided us the perfect meal as we requested halal meat. Such a peaceful place to enjoy our wedding short break. We would definitely go back again!

Just returned today from an Afternoon Tea for a birthday celebration - this village and hall has been overlooked by me for years as I only ever drive through on the A59 from York to Harrogate. The hall is magnificent, the grounds stunning. The Orangerie is a delight to sit in wonderful ambience for our afternoon tea which was simply...

Stayed for one night as a special treat. The hall is beautiful and makes you feel incredibly grand just to be inside. All the staff were very welcoming and the service we received was impeccable. Our room overlooked the gardens and was a perfect mixture of modern and tradition. The furniture was in keeping with the halls history yet all...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Goldsborough Hall is a beautifully restored, privately owned stately home tucked away in the small village of Goldsborough, just off the A59 between Harrogate and the A1M. The 400yr old hall has had many residents through the years, being built for the high sheriff of Yorkshire, the last resting place of the eldest founding father to all thoroughbred horses and most famously the first family home of HRH Princess Mary, the aunt of our current Queen. ... more   less
