This hotel is clean but not worth the money. £120 for 2 nights in a box room with no room to swing a cat... But it was only to sleep and shower in so didn't really matter to much. Was text at around 11ish to find out my ETA text back my time which would have been around 7pm I...

Arrived and parked the car on site (no extra charge). We were greeted by Denise (proprietor ) shown to our room (room 12) and Denise went through all the resteraunts near by where we could have our evening meal . The room was large with a double bed & on suite facilities. Breakfast was excellent with wide range of menu...

Just stayed and was greeted by Denise. What a smashing lady! Massive local knowledge, plenty of tips on where to go and the room was thoroughly clean. Ten out of ten for her staff! Had the full English breakfast and it one of the best I have ever tasted. If you read any of the negative feedbacks then take them...

I really do wonder about some of the bad reviews on trip advisor and what sort of people write them. Firstly the owner and her staff are an absolute delight, clearly some of the negative reviews on here have been left by utter odd bods! Newton House is a gem of a find, the breakfast is out of this world...

My husband and i stayed here a couple of weeks ago for the night. The lady who greeted us was the relief manager (Tina I think) was lovely and friendly and made us feel very welcome. The room was comfortable and spacious and breakfast the next morning, although very busy, was fresh and extremely enjoyable. I would recommend and would...

Not enough room to write about the terrible attitude of the owner. We thought the other reviews saying how rude and unwelcoming she was; that we had read; must have been exaggerated; but sadly not. My thirteen year old daughter found her to be extremely intimidating and didn't want to stay after we had checked in. This lady clearly can't...

My room was lovely - soft comfortable bed and great pillows, tastefully decorated, great attention to detail, including home purified water. It was very quiet as my room overlooked the back of the house. The breakfasts are excellent - all freshly cooked and so delicious. The best smoked salmon I've had for ages. Homemade jams, amazing porridge topped with whisky...

Friendly, welcoming, owner and staff. Efficient and attentive. Great breakfast menu, with emphasis on locally sourced ingredients. Room was very clean and well furnished, Arran Aromatics toiletries and everything a guest might need. Parking on site, though limited, was a great bonus. Would certainly visit again and recommend to friends.
