Had reservations about the place initially, as apparently the previous owners had run the place down, but I know it is now under new management so thought we would see what's new. We had heard there was a carvery on for £7.50 per head, so thought we would give it a try. Really very impressed, the place was very busy,...

very disappointing, the manageress built the Chef up to be wonderful, had a rump steak no presentation to it. Tough and when I told them after, they said Rump steak is a cheap cut and I should expect it. Sorry but this was the only steak on offer. £5 refund from a family bill of £50. Full of contractors orange...

as a wee treat for my wife after helping out at our restaurant, I booked two nights at an hotel in Bedale which we ran 21 years ago . The room was not as we hoped so refused and set off the find somewhere to stay . I recalled the White Rose from times gone by and we were delighted...

We called in on Sunday afternoon for lunch, which we have done on a number of occasions , I believe it has just changed hands, no carvery , not inpressed at all, waited 20 minutes to be served, a couple came in after us, and the waitress was going to take their order first until I said we were in...

We booked a table for 2pm to have Sunday lunch we arrived at 1.50pm were shown to our table, given the menu, the waitress came and took our order at 2pm and advised us that meals would be about 10 minutes we said that's fine, at 2.30pm our food had still not arrived my wife then spoke to a waitress...

Since the new management team have taken over the hotel has been transformed. I reside there whilst working the area and have been since January. The rooms re being upgrade to great relaxing tastes. I cannot wait for the whole hotel to be upgraded. The food prepared by Gordon (The Kiwi) is to die for and is a real eye...

Hotel under new management and they have already started a long awaited room upgrade...some great changes already made and many more to come...would definitely recommend The White Rose as a great place to stay 👍

Stayed at the white rose for a couple of nights, comfy rooms, under new management, some rooms already re furbed, breakfast excellent and dinner to die for, staff attentive and professional, well worth a visit!

Here some new rooms been refurbished! Some friends of our stayed here last night had a wonderful experience nice clean room staff very helpful and could do enough for us. Breakfast spot on evening meal fantastic. Will be recommending this to family friends just like to thank the staff had a wonderful staff and will definitely call again!

Popped in here for Sunday lunch as we didn't have to book. Not many staff and the tables in the conservatory looked as though they hadn't been cleared since breakfast, quite a few still had signs of crumbs. In fact the whole conservatory looked a little sad and in need of a makeover. Pleasant young lady behind the bar took...
