Booked a room here as we were coming to a ball here, with not particular expectations (other than convenience!). We had a lovely time - the staff couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant - from front desk, to bar, to breakfast. The room was good (albeit no bath - didn't bother me but partner fancied one), the breakfast was...

We stayed at this hotel as it seemed like a reasonable price and the location suited us. We were having a day in York, and the following day in Harrogate. So the convenience for the two places was ok. We found it easy to find, and easy to park. On arrival it looks quite cosy, and welcoming. The lady on...

I've returned here annually for several years on business, and although it's nothing special, it's acceptable and pretty reliable and I will certainly consider returning next year. The rooms all seem to be bigger than average, and the place has a spacious and airy feel. The wi-fi wasn't particularly fast and seemed to drop out frequently. I ate in the...

I am very impressed with this hotel. It's cosy ambience welcomes you into a nicely laid out clean room with good decor . The hotel is slightly out of town so you don't get the noise but close enough to walk. The staff are polite, friendly and very helpful. The menu had a good selection and would recommend the daily...

We stayed here for two nights early September 2016. The rooms were very clean, spacious and comfortable. With an en suite shower and toilet. Tea and coffee making facilities provided and replenished each day. There's plenty of car parking space. All the staff were friendly and efficient and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. Its a 5 minute walk...

We travelled for a wedding with our 8 week old son. I emailed to ask for early check in to get the baby sorted and they said they'd try their best to accommodate us as I didn't want to pay for an early check in! When we got there our room was ready at no extra cost. Really helpful and...

We were travelling north for an event and this was a convenient stop over on the way. The room smelt of damp but refreshed after we had opened the windows for a while. No lift in the hotel, so ask for a downstairs room if you have difficulties with stairs. Food in the restaurant was rather disappointing, being charged full...
