We booked the Hotel for our honeymoon weekend and we arrived late at the hotel, 9pm, due to rain, fog and more rain, and asked if could get something to eat as we had been travelling for over four 1/2 hours and we were told unfortunately the restaurant had just finished serving, we asked for maybe a sandwich but were... Although the location and breakfast were very nice the Smugglers Boathouse Rooms were disappointing. We didn't mind being in the roof and having to bend double to get into the room or tiny bathroom (it added to the quirkiness of the place) but the decor was shabby and the furniture miss matched. We were particularly concerned about the electric shower... More

Stayed overnight on a reunion trip in October. We were really well looked after throughout, thanks. lisa. We ate at the smugglers which was excellent, the surf and turf is highly recommended. We had a great time and tried not to be too boisterous. Breakfast was fab, best sausages ever. Can't wait for our next trip.

After along 16 miles on the Cleveland Way we were looking forward to a nice B&B in Robin Hoods Bay. This was not to be the case We had booked 4 rooms but when we arrived they had only booked three. The owner was away on holiday and the chef was looking after things. He did manage to find us... More

I am all for a romantic meal by candle light, but i also like to see what is on my plate,I had the mussels in white wine which where very nice although I had to feel the mussel to see if the bearded had been removed (they hadn't) as the lighting is that poor. The staff are very friendly the... More

This could be a very pleasant B+B. It is situated right at the bottom of Robin Hoods Bay, I imagine it, like most of the buildings, was a fisherman's cottage, so you expect small rooms, low ceilings and winding stairs. What you also expect is an owner/manager who is focussed upon the needs and wishes of his/her clientele, unfortunately this... More

An ideal setting near the sea, inviting exterior, but less good from the inside, because it was literally candle lit - too dark even for romance and all that. Very friendly service, even though a member of staff missing so the owner was a little rushed. the food varied from generally good (my wife's starter and main course) to mediocre... More

7 of us stopped here on completing the Coast 2 Coast - and very pleasant it was. We had two twins (one with an extra bed) and the appartment which was also very nice.
