Arrived on steak night which put me in a quandary straight away; too much choice for an indecisive diner such as I! Pigeon stater was delicious and pork belly to follow. Friendly, efficient staff made for an enjoyable evening.

A beautiful modernised old pub with a great reputation for food. A wonderful selection of craft beers in a tastefully modernised bar. A most helpful and friendly barman (Host?) customer & dog friendly which is a great base for a country pub.

Stayed here 2 nights to break a journey from Sussex to Aberdeen. Great staff, super food and a clean and comfortable room. The views from the window or the tables in front were superb and the location is great for local amenities.

We arrived Saturday pm after unpacking, a 5minute walk to the Punch Bowl for a drink, had a good pint of Theakstones Black Sheep and a cloudy Cider. We sat outside, you are above the valley so wonderful views. Very busy...

We stayed for three nights in this exceptional inn. Really comfortable bedroom with excellent en-suite. Fabulous views from the bedroom overlooking the valley. The food in the restaurant is high quality with a wide menu covering all tastes supported with a extensive wine list. Breakfast is equally good. The service is excellent and everyone was so helpful throughout our stay....
