We enjoyed our lunch in the cool of the dining room. We had friendly service, and food which was freshly cooked. Food can be eaten in the bar area , the separate dining area or al fresco in the beer garden. We have also recently enjoyed a hog roast , attended by many people.

Went with some collegues for lunch. Not a great welcome and lunchtime menu very limited although we were offered the main menu too. We opted for the sandwiches and ordered some chips too. We sat outside as it was a beautiful day. My husband and one collegue ordered a chicken mayo sandwich it came on white bloomer which to the...

We're visiting the area for a few days and stumbled across this hidden gem. We were looking for great pub food and we couldn't have chosen better. The new owners have been there a couple of weeks and we wanted to take this opportunity to rave about the place because they deserve every success. The chef makes everything from scratch...

Hi Thom S, The Maltsters has now reopened after 5 months of being closed. We'd love to invite back customers old and new to try us out. We serve good food daily. All our meals are put together using locally sourced produce and everything is made in house. We hope to see you soon, Kevin & Sarah

I'd love to write a review about this restaurant, but haven't actually managed to eat here. After two attempted telephone calls and hanging on for over 10 minutes, the phone still hasn't been answered. Next!

The Maltsters was the venue for my daughter's wedding in August. The whole process leading up to the day was made easy by Richard and his staff. They were really helpful, supportive and couldn't do enough to make it easy for us. They responded positively to our last minute requests with good humour. They all had an easy assurance which...

This pub never fails to deliver delicious homely food, in a fun and friendly environment. I am a vegetarian and Richard makes sure there are plenty of dishes for me to choose from. My husband on the other hand loves the meat pies! Thank you for a great evening .
