Lovely Hotel, with the most obliging and friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. Mark the Manager ( or owner? ) extremely helpful with out booking. Ample breakfast and ate in Hotel for both nights we were there, good choice of food, not particularly cheap but very nice and plentiful. Excellent large rooms, very clean.

Just returned from a 3 night stay and thoroughly enjoyed it. Perfect location to access all the great tourist spots including Alnwick Castle. Easily accessed from A1. Great parking too. We stayed in one of two rooms yet to be refurbished but was still lovely. Good size and clean. Food was excellent both dinner and a great breakfast. Staff were...

This pub/hotel is a 15 min walk from Alnwick Gardens, so we left our car there and walked. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is a good Northumbrian cooked breakfast with a choice of the usual components. There are a few cereals and some fruit and yogurt, but not as much choice here as I would have preferred. Our...

Friendly staff and great food in a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. Superb carvery with the biggest Yorkshire puddings I have ever had! Highly recommended. Nice little outside seating area too if the great British weather is on our side.

We searched around Alnwick for a restaurant and by chance came across this place. It doesn't look spectacular from the outside, but it's completely different inside. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the friendly welcome from the staff was lovely. The menu has a good selection of dishes, but we plumped for the Carvery, which tasted delicious, so much...

This is a quaint hotel with plenty of rooms to cover all tastes, 4 posters, creaking floorboards and a atmosphere all of its own, easy to find, large car park and helpful staff. Rooms comfortable with full facilities. Not to be missed when you are in the area.

A good overnight stay at the Oaks. We were en route to Holy Island. We have stayed at the Oaks on several occasions and always enjoy our stay. Food is consistently good and the welcome is always warm. Rooms are well appointed, if a little 'well used'. We will return when in the area.

We took my elderly ( 88) mother to the Oaks for a meal. They have always offered "Senior Citizens meals" - we wondered how long you have to braise them for- which are excellent value for 3 courses, and although we offered anything on the menu she chose that option. We had a la carte options and all three main...

After spotting the sign outside we decided to try the offer. It was advertising a 3 course meal with tea or coffee for pensioners at £7 each! You could have soup or orange juice for starters. A choice of 4 main courses, (unfortunately no veggie option) Dessert was a choice of ice cream. It was a nice friendly place &...
