We had been to Purdy Lodge a couple of years ago and as we were going back to the North East it seemed logical to book again. The hotel room itself (which was a family room) was clean, with good views across open countryside and more than adequate for our stay. The food was very good and portion sizes were...

Well I had left it to the wife to book somewhere. When we got here and I saw all the trucks, I knew exactly where I was. I don't remember the Hotel being here though years ago. Anyway booked in and couldn't fault the welcome. Very friendly and pleasant. The room was clean and tidy, décor tired. But like I...

About the same as a travelodge, bit outdated, tiling needs looking at in bathroom, stains on the carpet but clean, which is number one for me. Comfortable bed. Good stop off on the A1, lovely views of the coast and Bamburgh castle. Decent enough breakfast, friendly staff.

Stayed here overnight on way to Holy Island.Nice spacious clean room. A Good and varied menu for dinner and the food was of excellent quality as was breakfast. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful at all times. The property is very handy being right next to the A1.Good parking and little road noise.Would definitely stay again.

Purdy Lodge is ideally situated between two places we wanted to visit: Holy Island & Alnwick Gardens. It is a good place to stay featuring all the usual amenities & the price was very reasonable using a very good internet offer. We were unsure where to eat and due to ease we ate in restaurant of Purdy Lodge. We were...

Although it is adjacent to the A1 there is absolutely no road noise.Plenty of parking spaces available. Our room was clean and spacious, with a really comfortable bed. Good to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room and FREE wifi. The staff were all really friendly and welcoming. A nice bar on site with a good choice of...

Have stayed here twice whilst working in Northumberland. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is a Lodge style but much better than a Premier inn. The rooms are clean and comfy. Probably the best bed I have slept in in a hotel! Wifi is available , but a bit hit and miss which is a shame....

Stayed here on numerous occasions. Lovely central position to visit Northumberland coastline. Big rooms, always clean, good variety of food whether in the restaurant, bar or 24/7 bar one next door. Staff are very friendly. Will be visiting again and would recommend it.

Stayed here in April, as we were attending a wedding in Ellingham Hall. The lodge is easy to find, modern, clean, and the staff were all great. The room was good for what we'd paid, the bed was comfortable, there was a TV and a large bathroom, a kettle and teas etc, wardrobe space, a hairdryer. The only downside was...
