I stayed at Redrig Cottage for two nights with my parents. The rooms were a good size with a walk in wardrobe, en suite, TV and Wifi, it is very secluded and very quiet. The views are amazing. Breakfast was lovely with the option of continental, cooked, fruit, toast and cereal. Oh and homemade cake was delicious! John also left out extra bread,...

Set in a tranquil area, 6 miles from the coastal town of Berwick upon Tweed, Redrig is a lovely place to get some peace and quiet. When you arrive John will warmly welcome you, show you around and entice you with a cup of tea and a slice of cake or some scones and jam. There are plenty of dining...

We have just arrived home from a three night stay away at Redrig Cottage. It was a very lovely, clean, property and very quiet there. Two horses in the fields who welcomed you when you came in with the car. John and Claire run this and do a grand job. John met us on arrival and there was a delicious...

What a wonderful hideaway this is. We stayed here whilst visiting the Edinburgh fringe festival, and we took the opportunity to visit Berwick and Lindisfarne during our stay. John was a perfect host, nothing was too much trouble, carrying our bags to our rooms, cooking whatever we wanted for breakfast AND baking the most wonderful cake every single day of...

Stay here. The photos don't do it justice at all & it's so peaceful. I've always had a phobia of b&bs having stayed in some overly attentive, overly floral ones for work so when we booked this for a last minute get-away I was expecting average.... You're greated by lovely hosts who very kindly welcome you in, point out fresh...

We were touring Scotland without stanav and came via Edinburgh during Friday rush hour, so it was dark when we got near and approached from a direction not given. John's instructions were fine, but we expected the railway bridge to be near to Ayton and 'second left' to be within a hundred yards or so of the bridge. On reflection,...

Redrig cottage is not easy to find unless you follow the very detailed directions provided by John but it is worth the journey. We were greeted by Claire and her delicious lemon cake and tea. The countryside is delightful and there are walks for those who wish to have a look around. We enjoyed our stay and the peaceful setting....

A lovely b&b in the middle of beautiful countryside. A car is necessary for getting in and out of Berwick and for restaurants and pubs, but there are walks within a few metres of the property. The rooms were clean, airy and individually decorated. Homemade cake and great breakfasts in a relaxed atmosphere. We were visiting for a family party...

Firstly, you need a car!!! Having said that, we could not fault this wonderful B&B. The welcome was good, the rooms were lovely, lovely linen and towels, and a very comfortable bed, and the breakfasts-well!! The smoked salmon and scrambled eggs( from the next door farm) were delicious. Home made jams and marmalades of all different flavours, all the extra touches...
