Breakfast is not included in the price. The owner is unbelievably unpleasant and contributed to one of the worst experiences that I have ever had in a B&B. Poor value for money. If you want to enjoy your stay in Berwick then do not stay here.

The front room is magical, a hanging egg-chair and fairy lights... I shared a double with my little daughter and it was a super-successful spontaneous holiday. Really comfy and looking over the nicest street in Berwick (we were there on a Friday and there were maybe two groups of very subdued merry-makers going past). The rooms here are really comfortable...

The owner, Elizabeth Middlemiss, lies and is possibly the most disreputable B&B owner in the UK. I was ripped off and she ruined my break; she has no concept of customer service. It’s a B&B, without the inclusive breakfast. Don’t even think about complaining to her, it won’t get you anywhere and you will end up very upset. Try reading...

Quaint guest house with unique rooms. Very clean, however front rooms are subject to noise from passing traffic. Nice welcome, and eceived some good information. Breakfast which we didn't partake in, would have been continental I.e. No cooked. Pretty good all round with first rate facilities.

Rude, abusive, unfriendly be warned if you are visiting with a family don't stay here.... no lounge area, proprietor would not allow any guests to socialise in any bedroom at 9.30pm. The rudest, uncompromising woman I've ever met.

I'm reminded of the Danish concept of 'hygge' the cozy comfort taking pleasure from the presence of soothing things. We stayed in #4 which is the essence of hyggelich where every detail is designed to help the traveller unwind. Arriving on an icy afternoon we received a warm welcome and offer of fresh tea, coffee or a glass of wine...

We booked a last minute break, and this boutique hotel came with good reviews. First time in a boutique hotel but won't be the last. The room was so interesting and comfortable. The service was excellent. Breakfast served in your room was delicious. Such a lovely room in a beautiful listed building. Location couldn't have been better with excellent restaurants...

Our attic room was delightful, beautifully and tastefully decorated, with masses of space, a huge bathroom including free standing bath and separate large shower. Plenty of storage space and a very comfortable bed. Nice quality fittings, fluffy towels and good quality tea and coffee on offer. Not easy to find, though, as there is no front entrance, and no sign...

Easy booking, pleasing welcome. Large room, light and bright with bags of style and comfort. Super comfortable bed. All linen, towels, robes etc good quality. Enjoyed the calm ambience of the room and it would be difficult to find a fault. Parking not provided but not a problem. Very adequate breakfast at the yha yards away.

This totally fab accommodation is set in a quiet lane and yet is centrally located for all that Berwick has to offer. The owner was delightfully friendly and welcoming - despite her broken leg! The room we had was very spacious, with a comfy sofa and big TV as well as a good sized and very comfortable bed. The furnishings...
