Recently stayed here for a few nights whilst exploring the local area. Bedroom was clean and very comfortable and the shower room has recently been refurbished to a very high standard. Fresh fruit in the room is a nice touch. Breakfast was plentiful and well presented and the service was excellent. We ate one night in the restaurant and the...

Many thanks for your kind words Bob & knowing you both enjoyed your visit with us. We are pro-active in our business & are continually re-investing in the hotel, hence all bathrooms being refurbished to a high standard but maintaining the characteristics of a period building. With being a small hotel & not consortium, our aim is to provide personal...

I went here last weekend for my mums birthday. It was a nice place, the pricing was okay, the service was okay and the food was okay... However my mum got the game terrine which was unfortunately very mouldy. I don't know if it was the last of the terrine but my dad and brother's were fine. The rest of...

when looking for a place to have Sunday lunch, I used trip advisor to see who was best and so booked the queens head, and just like other reviews it was great. Nice surroundings good service and great food. Shows what any business can do if they focus on customer service. Will return and highly recommend.

Many thanks for your review Paul & it is nice to know you all left our hotel happy & content. Trip advisor is certainly a powerful tool that the majority of the public use & these days it is impossible to please everyone, as customers certainly have their own perception of things, but I think people now look at the...
