We booked for 3 nights from Monday to Thursday. We were checked in quickly and efficiently. We also booked a meal for the Monday evening. Our room (11) was located at the top of the house and a bit of a trek up the stairs. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. Bathroom had a shower and bath...

We stayed here for a couple of nights on the way back from the Highlands. Our room was a garden suite, which was large with a well equipped bathroom and very comfortable bed, also peaceful. The hotel itself is to some extent grand, but (oxymoron ) quaint. The public rooms are spacious and well appointed. The food (served in a...

After traveling overnight from London we checked in way to early , but even though our room wasn't ready , we were taken into the lounge and given complimentary coffee and within 30 minutes our room was ready . After a brief rest we called into reception and the always helpful staff advised us of places of interest and booked...

Recently stayed at Tillmouth Park Hotel for a two night break. We stayed in room 10 at the top of the house which was small and spotlessly clean but the furniture did feel a little dated as opposed to antique. However the rest of the hotel more than compensated for this, was like stepping back in time retiring to the...

While staying in the area, my wife and I booked a Sunday evening meal at the hotel. Although it is about a year since our last visit we found, to our pleasure, that very little has changed in the dining areas. The ambience is what might be styled as "baronial" but the service was exceptionally friendly and relaxed. Also, we...

This lovely old house is now a very welcoming hotel: with comfortable lounges, beautiful grounds and a restaurant serving lovely food made with local produce. My room was in the separate garden suite (the old laundry!) and was spacious with a large comfortable bed, seating area and well appointed en suite (there was an issue with the plumbing but the...

What a fantastic old country hunting lodge. This place is full of old country style and charm in all the right ways. The staff make it in all the right ways. The maitre D is absolutely superb, a lovely lady who does a fantastic job. The reception manager was lovely too, nothing too much trouble. We did have our comedy...

Great surroundings and helpful and well trained staff, I would thoroughly recommend. The food was excellent and the room was clean and tidy, on the whole a very relaxing break. There was plenty to do and see within a 30 mile radius so a great place to base yourself on a trip to the northeast, with an added touch of...

Rather tired bathroom and furniture in room which was in the attic with many stairs - no lift. I wish had asked for a lower room. Food was excellent and staff could not do enough to please. Beautiful grounds to walk around with the River Till running by. Very relaxing rooms to sit in and a billiard room if required....
