Located in the centre of the island, this hotel was easy to find and we had a warm welcome from the staff, who were very accommodating. Our room was very cosy and the beds comfortable with en-suite facilities. We enjoyed a lovely afternoon in the garden of the pub soaking up the pints & the sunshine ~ it was just...

We had Room 1 for 3 nights, very comfy and clean, well-cared for, biscuits and milk daily! The breakfasts were served with warmth and thoughtfulness. The evening meals were good too. An excellent choice for staying on Holy Island. Good beer and a beer garden where we locked up our bikes!

Today was day one of my holidays, driving to Scotland to do the NC500. Lindisfarne was on my itinerary as old never been up here before. I was disappointed in Holy Island which I won't go into here, but also needed a pint. The Ship came into view. The outside isn't the most inviting but the inside is, and the...

There is plenty of parking outside and a good restaurant as well. The bar is nautically themed, now there is a surprise given the name! The staff were really friendly, giving us tips on walks, and things to see and do as well as giving the real tide time, not the ones the council puts out. The rooms are comfortable...

We enjoyed a nice lunch here. Homemade soup very good and very hot. Our dog was made welcome. I enjoyed the holy island blessed bitter. Not the cheapest menu though, but bit of a captive audience on an island.

Stopped here for lunch on a flying visit to Holy Island. Friendly staff, quick service, the chef shifted quite a few meals in short time to a good standard. The crab salad was superb, and I thoroughly enjoyed my mixed sea food. Worth a visit.

A wintry break to Holy Island limited my choices of accommodation a little out of season.. But I am really glad I came here. Fabulous traditional pub with fabulous food... well, since the haddock was so good I had it twice, I can only assume the rest of the mains were as good - the folks at the next table...

Stayed for one night and very impressed. Rooms were very comfortable and well presented, and food very good - excellent and plentiful breakfast. Highlight was the staff - couldn't do more to make us welcome. Thank you

We were the only guests in a December weekend and were made to feel fabulously welcome. Lovely large rooms, en suite, clean and comfortable, lovely bed, TV, free wifi, complimentary tea and coffee. Bar was extremely cosy, log fire, and a superstar cat, Mimi, who seems to be in charge. Smashing breakfast - kippers, toast, unlimited excellent coffee. They looked after...

What a lovely place. The owners and staff couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. Would highly recommend a visit here. We will return. Everyone we encountered on our short visit was very helpful and friendly. There was a fabulous bonfire (as it was bonfire night) and fireworks which were free to go and watch. The Ship Inn is literally...
