We stayed in room 33 which was spacious and had a fabulous view, a huge shower room/loo and that rare delight in a British hotel - a decent shower. Buffet breakfast was above average, cleanliness was spot on. Difficult to find fault. Recommended.

It depends how quickly you walk! A very brisk walk is 30 minutes but a more leisurely stroll will be 40 mins to one hour! It's a lovely walk plus our guests enjoy discount on admission!

Are the rooms that allow pets as good a standard as those that don't? Do they have decent views, beds and bathrooms? Looking to stay with a small spaniel, but need to know the rooms are not substandard because we have a dog!! Thank you

Hi we don't have a dog but would think the rooms to be of same standard. Have spoken to people with dogs that have stayed more than once so they must be ok. We have stayed 4 times and rooms are always clean.
