I have just returned from two trips to kielder to see my father, who was staying up in the lodges. We ended up in there on four nights last week. I truly cannot fault the place, food, location, staff, decor or anything else. We ate chicken parmigiana (or something sounding similar), steak & garlic butter, lasagne, pie, gammon, antipasta, bread...

There were three of us. All ordered different starter and main course. Very fussy granddaughter could not find one thing to complain about. Service was first class and staff very friendly. Starters could easily have been a main for lunch. Lovely night, reasonably priced can't wait to go again

Whilst exploring the Kielder area in the Northumberland National Park we had the pleasure of an overnight stay at this Inn. Set back off the road it is very tranquil. The welcoming greeting from the staff was warm, our room had lovely views out over the countryside, it was a cheerfully room with a more than adequate shower/bathroom. Came with...

We found the room rather small for 2 people and had to jongle with our luggage although there was ample storage space and the bathroom is a decent size with a powerful shower . The lighting was rather bright for our taste. The view was of the countryside and although by a road there's not enough traffic passing through to...

We had a very nice time here. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food and service was very good with a varied breakfast selection and good evening meal menu. Real ales in the bar. The room was clean and comfortable. The area is very quiet and peaceful, although a bit remote if you needed shops etc. Cloudy skies did...

Lovely location, very nice accommodation, excellent food and very pleasant staff. Would certainly recommend The Pheasant when exploring Northumberland or travelling up to Scotland. We were able to get to Alnwick Castle and gardens, have lunch at The Tree House, visit Hadrian's Wall. We even had perfect weather!

Stayed here overnight en route to north of Scotland. The countryside in this area is beautiful and we would be tempted to spend a few days here on another occasion, particularly because the Pheasant is a very special place. Although we had just booked bed and breakfast, our accommodation was in the Garden Cottage, a self-catering cottage on two floors....

This is a beautiful B&B with a lovely restaurant and a very cosy pub with some great regional beers. We stayed for 2 nights, our room was really well appointed, with great views, and a lovely bathroom & amenities. The breakfast was fabulous, and everybody involved with working at the Pheasant was friendly and knowledgeable about the local area and attractions....

Great B&B with a superb pub. Beer choice was exemplary and food was delicious. Room was cosy and well fitted. Only downside was a noisy air extractor in the neighbouring room. Location is amazing and straight out into the forest - tranquil and isolated. Close to the Castle and all the facilities.

Wow, what a great pub and lovely staff. We both got the lamb and it was great. I can be funny with lamb, sometimes you get it and it can be tough or fatty. Well . . . this was some of the tastiest lamb I have ever had. Thank you.
