Conveniently located close to major routes with plenty of parking. Quite modern and extensive hotel. No airconditioning in rooms, which these days should be mandatory. Staff friendly and rooms are clean and well appointed. I ate in the bar and was surprised that it was average food but a single course meal and one drink came to almost £25. If...

Only stayed overnight at this hotel whilst travelling. This is a difficult hotel to review as it is being/or has been taken over by the Hilton Group which will result in the hotel being virtually rebuilt with several additional rooms. However, as it it, found the hotel to be very good, clean, with very good sizable bedroom, bed and bathroom...

This was the first visit for a long time after a couple of lousy experiences Went for a light lunch with a friend. Very happy with the food and the service was first class Angie was lovely and deserves a pat on the back Pity we will have to wait until after the refurb before we can eat here regularly

Location is perfect, alongside the A34 and short drive to M4 and M40. Free Wi-Fi is a bonus during business meetings Ample free parking on site is always a bonus.. Businessmen and guests mix freely in the comfortable bar area where service is exceptional. Business can be conducted in a stress free environment and a good lunch menu.

Stayed here 2 nights , room was comfortable if a little dated . The carpet was a strange orange colour and stained The staff were not particularly helpful , wouldn't stay here again, the premier inn down the road is much nicer .

Thanks for your comments. Our team are usually highly rated. I am sorry they did not meet your expectations. Our whole hotel is getting renovated from the summer and all bedrooms will be refreshed to give a better guest experience. Thanks for the feedback. Andy Gelleburn General Manager

After reading a few write-ups, including "closed for renovations", I arrived with great trepidation and was pleasantly surprised. Yes the hotel looked a little dated, but, the rooms were clean and the bed comfortable. The restaurant had a good menu selection, food well cooked, portions a little on the large size (not a bad thing), but the service was a...

Good morning, Although we are about to start redevelopment works in the summer, this does NOT mean that we are closing the hotel. We will still be operating the bedrooms and although our offer will be reduced, we will do all we can to ensure our guests have a great stay at a reasonable price. Thanks for your feedback and...

The hotel is conveniently located for road access with a big car park. My room was clean and had plenty of space, with a comfortable bed and extremely (too?) powerful shower. The building could do with some work to bring it up to date and feels rather old fashioned. We were awoken by the fire alarm fairly early in the...

Thanks for your comments. We are due to start redeveloping the hotel in the summer, but will remain open during this time. This will improve our overall look and feel. The fire alarm was caused by another guest and I apologise for the disruption to all our guests that were affected. Our breakfast is usually well received. Did you ask...

I understand that this hotel will soon be redeveloped by its owners - the Hilton Group. In truth it is in need of work, but that said it offers great value for money, a reasonable location and a fantastic team of people who go out of their way to make your stay as good as possible. The rooms have all...

Good Afternoon, The hotel will be getting redeveloped from the summer. This will involve us closing down the existing restaurant, bar and meeting rooms and moving reception to allow the rebuilding of the main part of the hotel. During this period, we will be able to offer a limited breakfast and the rooms will continue to operate as normal. Thank...

Stayed here for the weekend. The service and hotel were great. Yes the building is old and you can see and hear it but we heard that they have a major refurbishment coming up in June and it'll be great to see the end product. We booked the Dinner, bed and breakfast rate and that's a great choice. Dinner was...

Overall stay good for price paid. Hotel was clean and tidy and as other reviews plenty of parking, but traffic noise could be troublesome if a light sleeper. Disappointed with room allocated as this was a disabled room and bathroom not really suitable, I suppose I could have complained once we found out but we were only there for one...
