Booked this hotel for a weekend away in Faringdon. Warm welcome, wonderful freshly cooked food served all day and a lovely open fire. Pefect room and a huge bathroom. Very good breakfast too. Would definitely return and recommend. Thank you.

Stayed here for a couple of nights for work, it's a lovely family owned place. The owner was very friendly and helpful and the food I ate was very good. The restaurant area had a very friendly atmosphere and my only regret was not being able to see more of the local area. Lots of history around this place.

Stayed at this hotel / inn on 3 separate occasions, and is nicely located near shops and and a cash machine. The staff are polite and helpful and all rooms have a nice supply of coffee, tea and biscuits. Room towels are changed daily and, shower gel and hair shampoo are provided. The car park at the back of the... More

Stayed at the bell last week for a few nights, we had such a lovely stay in this old hotel , we had a family room which was really big and freshly decorated , situated at the front of the hotel so we could look out the window watching the world go by, really nice staff that are happy to... More

We were booked in for the weekend at another pub in the village, and arrived to find it deserted and locked up. We went to the Bell to see if they had any rooms, and they did but just for the Friday night as they were fully booked for the Saturday. They offered to find us local accommodation for the... More

4 of us had a meal here, on Friday evening 5 th August, the chips served with two of the meals were awfull, greasy and dark brown, obviously been warmed up. My husband paid an extra £1 to substitute the chips with a jacket potato, which had obviously been over cooked in the microwave, and was really mushy! I had... More

The Bell is full of history and character, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was a nice big size and the bed was comfortable with lovely white bedding. Getting to the room from Reception was up quite a few very wide steep stairs with a Fire door at the top of the steps which was quite hard to... More

My sister and I called into the Bell today for lunch and were tempted by the 'Special' of ham hock to share. We chose a table away from main bar, number 2. This area is obviously not used often - the bar was thick with dust, crumbs on the table, and uncleared glasses and coffee cups - at the first... More
