I had arranged a group booking for 28 people for a Christmas Sunday Lunch. Extra care is taken by the owners to ensure an enjoyable time. Having provided our choice of menus and seating, we arrived to three beautifully presented tables with name plates in place (with the menu choice listed on the reverse for those who had forgotten what...

My wife and I spent four relaxing days at the Millhouse. We had not been for about two years and were delighted at the improvements to the communal areas and to the room we had. I understand from Paul & Maria - the owners - that upgrading of the rooms is still going on. The staff were friendly and attentive,...

A very pleasant family run hotel in the village of Kingham , close enough to Oxford for shopping and sightseeing. We had DDB for two nights. A big log fire in a snug room , good bar with a quiet atmosphere and a comfy restaurant. Our evening meals were excellent , breakfasts were superb The staff were friendly and helpful...

We recently stayed a couple of nights for a family birthday and although the staff are great, the rooms do need some TLC. Ours was certainly a little dated. Food was of a very good standard though and the bar area has a nice feel to it, again with friendly staff.

Many thanks for your review of the Mill House and for your comments regarding our staff. We are very pleased to hear this. I'm sorry to hear of your feelings regarding the room you stayed in. We are undergoing room refurbishments at present, including updating of bathrooms, and this is a gradual process which is continuing into this new year.

We have just returned from 4 nights at this lovely small hotel. We first stayed here March 2013 and had a wonderful time. This visit was for our 35th wedding anniversary and as before, everything was great. The room was clean and had everything you needed with a lovely view of the gardens and trout stream. The area is central...

Spent two nights in a small and pretty room on the ground floor, overlloking the park, which is nicly treed with sprawling lawns. Good bedding, simple bathroom, good breakfast, reasonable prices. I can only recomend this hotel, .ocated in a very pretty village. Th pub, at the entrance of the hotel, looked like a viby local meeting place.

Haven't eaten at The Mill House since 1990, when it was quite a posh dining experience. Had very pleasant memories of some lovely times here, so wasn't sure what to expect. It has been sensitively expanded since these days and was just delightful for Sunday Lunch on August Bank Holiday weekend. Great roast, good Chateau Neuf, etc. Very quick, attentive...

Thank you for taking the time to write a review and for your kind comments. We are sorry you were disturbed by the music in the bar in morning and have mentioned this to the staff. When booking next time tell the receptionist you would like a room at the back and this will be arranged for you.

6 old college friends and spouses (I mean old - in England from California, Belgium and Derbyshire) arranged to have a rare lunch gathering. We figured the Cotswolds was a convenient spot. This inn is a damn smart place. Almost too smart. I would have preferred more Cotswold quaintness. The staff allowed me to switch tables 3 times with great...
