Visited the beetle and wedge for a Saturday evening meal, though the staff were lovely the group were underwhelmed by the food. I started with the duck and risotto cake, unfortunately the risotto was overlooked and very crunchy, I'm sure had I raised this the staff would have changed it but i would expect this to have been picked up...

I stumbled across this restaurant as I was looking for somewhere close-by to the Vicarage care home in Moulsford suitable for my Granny who wanted to get out for a nice lunch. Myself and my mum booked a table for my family. The manager was so catering to our needs and those of my Gran in the booking process (giving...

valentines eve, Monday so expectedly quiet. Steak probably one of the best I've tasted, good quality produce and cooked to perfection, hard working staff, polite and very attentive, can't fault it! should try again in the summer and take in the surrondings

With only 3 rooms this is a lovely intimate place to stay. The food is gorgeous and the staff really friendly. Lovely for a special hideaway weekend. Set on the banks of the river Thames it is perfect in the summertime.

Beautifully situated in the river, this is a great destination for summer eating on a lovely day. Recently visited in December for a dinner with three friends for a delicious dinner. Lovely cosy Christmassy atmosphere inside. All the food was very tasty and the whole evening was very nice. Service a little on the slow side but in the circumstances,...

3rd or 4th time here, always great food, always lovely service. Never had a bad plate. Great for pics of your table guests outside with river in background... If I lived within 30 or so miles I'd eat here all the time.

Went for a birthday lunch here and the menu was one of those where you can't decide what to have because everything sounds so tasty! Once we finally decided, the food was excellent and the house wine list was fantastic - a selection of at least 6 different wines by grape, in both red and white sections, all at the...

A long time has passed since we last are here. The open charcoal grill was the main attraction delivering meat eaters a fantastic choice of meats however that isn't in operation so it's all down to the standard kitchen which is a shame as the open brick grill is a real draw. We enjoyed fois gras and gravadlax to start...
