A group of us walked the Thames Path and we stayed a night at this pub. It offered simple, honest and traditional food and drink, all served with a smile. The rooms were clean and comfortable and exceptionally good value. Nice people working there and drinking there too.

If you are cruising on the Thames this place is very easy to find, right by river with nearby mooring. We, however, arrived by car. Thankfully it was daylight and the GPS was working. The inn is at the very end (go further and you're in the Thames) of a single track lane. Our room was spacious, looking straight out...

We booked only a few days before our stay and got a good price. The hotel is in a lovely position Our room overlooked the river and was large clean and tidy with nice big bath sheets . Comfortable bed and tea and coffee making facilities. We had a nice meal in the pub, prices were very reasonable, service good....

Travelling to attend Countryfile live at Blenheim Palace, we were made very welcome in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. The views of the river, along with the resident geese and swans, were superb. The rooms overlooking the river make for a pleasant wake up vista. Breakfast is included but I would recommend paying the extra few quid to upgrade to...

This place was booked through Late Rooms in the middle of March for a July weekend booking. I wanted to make sure we had rooms as we were going to the Royal International Air Tattoo and it was the same weekend as Silverstone F1. At the beginning of June, I emailed the Ferryman to check the booking in times as...

Booked for 2 rooms with two adults in each for RIAT weekend. Owner phoned 1hour before we set off to say he had over booked and we could only have 1 night. This on a RIAT, Silverstone F1, and Duxford Air Show weekend. While he did find us another room in a totally different hotel he thought compensation of a...

Stayed here during recent weekend away exploring Oxford. Whilst it is quite difficult to find initially & further away from Oxford than we anticipated.. The ferryman is a lovely family-run b&b right on the river side . Staff were warm & welcoming, room was very clean & comfy & cooked breakfast was beautiful... Very dated pub in a lovely if impossible-to-find location! SatNav takes you about a mile away and then, in the dark, the signage from any nearby roads is none existant! Eventually, if you trail up and down enough lanes, you MIGHT spot an unlight DARK GREEN (!!in the DARK) sign for the caravan site next to the pub. We even...

Lovely spot by the river. It is a bit dated and could do with a makeover, however, the friendly atmosphere and staff made are stay a pleasant one. We had room 1 which overlooks the river and was bright and airy. Beds very comfy and nothing was too much trouble for staff there. It's not a 5 star but in...

Great spot by the river, evening meal was to a very good standard. Missed breakfast as I had to be away early so they bought me a beer to make up for it ! I had room 1 which has great views across the river, yes the shower room is small but has everything you need. Friendly staff to which...
