I stayed at Gorselands Hall as I was attending a course nearby, the location was perfect and I felt very welcome upon arrival with a pot of tea after a long journey. Set in rural Oxfordshire, it has a wonderful homely feel. My room was very comfortable, clean and complete with full amenities. The hosts Lisa and James couldn't have...

The family run b and b offers a really great place to stay. Mr J was warm and very welcoming. I got the rest I needed and was able to work in the facility easily. The venue is near enough to Oxford without being in the middle of all the bustle so I think you would be able to travel...

A very good location an interesting property, friendly, helpful hosts, The House was warm and clean, we were however disappointed to find due to decorating and building work, the dining room and sitting room were not available. This meant breakfast was served in a small room next to our bathroom, not ideal! The breakfast was limited ,fruit was bananas and...

A lovely little place run by a friendly couple. We used this place to stay for our Christmas party that was held locally. We were given a warm and friendly welcome, tea or coffee was offered on arrival and made whilst shown to our room. The room was a good size with a very generous sized and modern bathroom. Keys...

Unfortunately our visit was cut very short due to our child being sick on the very first evening. Although it seemed (in the few short hours we were there) to be very pleasant, it didn't live up to the reviews we had read. We were also surprised to be charged the full amount for both days - considering we rang...

I was quite surprised by most of the rave reviews of Gorselands Hall and having been rated 4 stars by the Visit England board (I believe they were last assessed August 2015 having checked). I will go into greater detail however to put it succinctly - my room in particular (Room 6), lacked attention to detail, thorough cleanliness and overall,...

Good standard room and bathroom - hotel standard. Owners very friendly and even gave my wife a lift into Witney because I had to drive to a conference on one of our days. Location is good for a range of Oxfordshire visits. Grounds & views are very nice. Would be very happy to stay here again.

We had a wonderful time while staying at Gorselands Hall. The house itself offers cosy bedrooms and an excellent continental and/or English breakfast. The surrounding landscape is lovely (incl the remains of a Roman villa) and Oxford and the Cotswolds are in close range. We will definitely return to North Leigh asap!

Lisa and James provided a very hospitable stay at their beautiful country home. Gorselands is well located just outside of Oxford, and also provides easy access to Woodstock/Blenheim. It is positioned in beautiful countryside and the B&B is very clean and welcoming. Thank you both.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We welcome you to Gorselands Hall – home to three generations of our family. Young and old are equally welcome. Does your family include children or a dog? No problem! Please enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of this country home from home.

Whether you are looking for a restful environment in which to have an unhurried holiday; a chance to explore the historic city of Oxford or the tranquil countryside of the Cotswolds; or need a one night stop between business appointments, Gorselands Hall is the B&B for you.

Unwind after your journey with a pot of tea and a slice of homemade cake – either in your room, or in the snug with books to browse and, in winter, a cosy fire.
The rooms are comfortable with drinks making facilities, flat screen TVs, hairdryers and power showers in the en-suite bathrooms.

We don't offer evening meals but we are happy to recommend some excellent local restaurants, all within 10 minutes drive.

In endeavouring to run an excellent B&B, we are mindful of what a wise man once said. 'Treat others as you would like to be treated'. We can't think of a better ambition for a B&B to have. We hope you enjoy your stay. ... more   less
