The room was nice and warm and cosy. The bar room was small and snug. The restaurant was welcoming. The food was sumptuous. And to top it all the staff were friendly, and attentive. All in all a hotel I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone. Thanks for a delightful stay.

Just back from the Crown.Had a lovely break.Could not fault the crown for the price and service and the staff day and night were excellent. The food was great with a good menu.On both days the food was lovely. The best thing about this break was the staff. Other hotels should look and learn about politeness and service with that important...

Just had 2 very pleasant nights in this charming hotel. Very friendly polite staff, great food! If i had to find a negative point it would be that the building was rather drafty but then it is an old 16th century coaching inn! The roaring open fires in the bar make it feel cosy!

The main hotel is a fabulously quirky 16th century coaching inn with low beams, real fires, sloping floors and a good selection of beers, wines and spirits. The grounds and car park are large with resident ducks to greet you on arrival. We stayed for three nights, in the extended section of the building, just a few yards from the...

We'd stayed at the Crown before and liked it....so we were pleased to find we enjoyed it just as much the second time around. Comfortable, quirky, creaky room...pleasant staff, etc etc. Thank you. A great place to stay for exploring the Shropshire Hills.

We stayed here for a two night Living Social deal with a meal on the first night and found the food so good that we also had a meal here on the second night. The staff were all friendly and helpful especially Simon who made us feel very welcome. We stayed in one of the cottages, which was fine but...

This is the second time that we have been to stay at this very quaint hotel, and we're very pleased to find that the second time around was as delightful as the first. If you are looking for modern, or plush suroundings and decor , then give this place a wide birth, if you are looking for old world charm...

Have recently come back from a two night stay at the Crown Inn. The pub was absolutely delightful very quaint. The staff were very friendly and the evening meals were really good. The thing that was really disappointing was the breakfast. Not a piece of fruit or yoghurt in sight. I did enquire if it was possible to have any...
