Went on the day we moved house. The food was very good, service excellent so we have been back a few times since. On each visit the food, service and atmosphere was as expected. It is just a nice place to be.

Stayed here for 3 of the worst nights ever the windows were really old rotten wood that had gone soft and did not close always covered in condensation which then froze so that we could not see out of them but also made them swell and push open letting in a huge draft. The bathroom door had the lock the...

We booked for the weekend of the Ludlow Medieval Christmas Fayre and found this as very sensibly priced accommodation not far away. Very welcoming staff, fabulous atmosphere in the bar and a very interesting menu. Dinner was excellent, as were our 2 full English breakfast (which set us up for each day at the fayre). The room was basic and...

Called in on the off chance there was a room available. Recieved a very warm welcome. The food and service could not be faulted. The bedroom was very comfortable. Would have no hesitation in recommending, and would certainly stay again when in the area.

Such a shame! It looks great, the people are nice... shame about the rooms! I stayed in a single room and felt like I was in a prison (not that i actually know what that feels like...) The shower in the morning was as powerful as somebody spitting... and it was freezing cold! The bed was comfortable but with the...

Wonderful meal, and perfect service. Couldnt complain about one thing. Would recommend anyone a visit. If u normally order sides to bulk out your meal. No need here the portion sizes are more than adequate.

I enjoyed the stay very much - the hard-working proprietors were friendly, helpful and welcoming. The room was traditional, comfy and pleasant. Not too modern, not too glammed up - just the sort of pace I like to stay. I ate in the restaurant twice, and both meals were excellent. The hotel is in an excellent location for exploring the...

Friendly, convenient to A49 on a long long journey back from Cornwall. Food good, very friendly service, varied menu. My husband truly enjoyed his steak which he described as 'melt-in-the -mouth' I enjoyed the deep fried caper decoration on the salmon.
