Three os us stayed for one night, there wasn't a lot of choice in the Craven Arms area so we were not sure what to expect. The landlord is a brilliant guy, let us park our motorbikes in his barn and gave us the keys. Rooms were simple and clean, food was very good, and the hospitality superb, nothing too...

We dropped in for dinner, following a recommendation from a local security guard. There were six of us and we easily found a table. The landlord was very friendly and the food was fresh and tasty! After a day at the Ludlow food festival it was a lovely place to sit and relax.

Lovely old Inn at Craven Arms and a good location for sight seeing or rambling. We booked here for the LUDLOW spring festival as LUDLOW was fully booked. Rail and bus links into Ludlow within walking distance from the Inn. But beware don't rely on the services as sometimes trains are cancelled at short notice. This left us stranded in...

Arrived in a thunderstorm to a warm welcome and was shown to a lovely clean spacious room with a decently sized en-suite bathroom. Décor was modern and simple and every detail had the feeling of care being taken. We had booked a table in their lounge for dinner that evening, but when we went to the bar early, the owner...

We popped in for a meal at lunchtime on Good Friday. We had not booked a table but that was no problem as the owner was so welcoming & a really friendly guy. The food was freshly cooked & plenty of it. Would go again, when next in the area. Thank you!

The landlord could not have been more welcoming, and my room, though small, was comfortable and as clean as a whistle. I had a very good meal in the bar and a couple of lovely pints of local beer. Although there was a humming in the room, I slept very well. I have to say that the tele was tiny...

Since our first visit to Stokesay Inn my fiance and I have returned time and time again and we have never left disappointed. We consider The Stokesay our "local" although it is about 5-10 minutes drive away. The manager has been on shift everytime we have been in and it is such a pleasure to hand our money over to...

And this is not a bad review. The room my sister and Istayed in (2 twin beds) was clean, warm and a safe place to leave our things while we explored the area. There are no frills. The shower is warm, the TV works and it served our needs. If you are seeking a no-frills, economic place to stay, this...

Nothing fancy, but no complaints from us. Clean room, comfy bed, quiet location, decent enough food. We did not eat breakfast as we had an early departure. The staff were obliging and friendly. Unpretentious is probably the right word!
