To be fair here I am sure that given the right circumstances, this could be the perfect place for (what we wanted) A nice peaceful weekend break. However the fact that our cottage was next door to a number of worker who were working on a local solar farm. This meant that on two of our three morning's we were...

Booked Mill Cottage for a short break with friends. We have been fishing together on and off for 55 years now, we try to have an annual reunion each year and this venue seemed ideal. Apart from the on site fishing lakes it is convenient for the river Severn, which was our main target. The accommodation was very well equipped...

Travelling from Bolsover the journey to Hurst Farm involves motorway and other major roads until the last mile or so. You then find yourself on extremely narrow roads and nervous drivers might feel a little intimidated by them. However, once actually at your destination it would be difficult to not be impressed by the quality of the accommodation. I stayed...

Third time visiting. Highly recommended, very comfortable, everything you could ask for. Very tranquil. Wonderful for stress free holiday and near to places to visit. Although weather was raining for ten days, still plenty of places to visit and keep dry.

Plenty of wildlife to observe,ie Buzzards,Deer,Geese,Duck and of course the farm animals. The surrounding Shropshire countryside is second to none and is a must for touring. If...

Stayed here in April 2015 as a party of four anglers. So i will review both the cottage and the fishing. First the cottage - we stayed in the Dairy cottage and it was perfect for our needs. Everything we needed we found - and all of the appliances worked as they should. Beds were comfortable and we all thought...

We use the cottages regularly for weekend breaks and would highly recommend 'the granary' which has good facilities and is very warm and cosy. A good fishing lake is on site and our dogs love the quiet woodland walks. The furnishings are a little dated but this just adds to the charm.
