I want to begin by saying my wife and I had a fantastic stay at The Fox in August 2014. We were keen to return for New Years Eve and booked bed & breakfast via Booking.com in June 2016. However, when we arrived we were shown to our room but there was no welcome and no mention of what time...

We went in for a pub lunch on a cold day. Beautiful wood fire going to get warmed up. Had various baguettes and sandwiches which were all excellent and very good value served by cheerful staff. Can't ask for more!

As a family of 3, we stayed at The Fox Inn back in October, and had a lovely stay. As to be expected from a 400 year old building, there are creaky floorboards, sloping floors and noisy plumbing, however this is all part of the charm of the building. The room was spacious, with a small double bed and a...

As a group of 12 ramblers we had booked and chosen meals for a post-ramble lunchtime, choosing from their Christmas Party menus. At fairly late notice one and then another of our party had to cancel but The Fox was very understanding. On the day the friendly service, drinks and food could not be faulted; and very good value for...

We were a party of 10 that had arranged a Christmas meal at The Fox Inn after a local walk. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The pub had been festively decorated and we all enjoyed an excellent Christmas lunch, beautifully cooked and reasonably priced. We couldn't fault anything and we would certainly recommend it. Well done!

We needed a place to stay last minute and found The Fox Inn on the High St of Much Wenlock. Our host was lovely and really friendly and the breakfast was super; just what we needed for the day ahead. The decor was nice in general but more modern than the age of the building itself. There were a few...

We just popped in on a very cold Sunday without booking to be greeted by a lovely toasty log fire and a warm welcome. We loved our food - I had two courses for £13.95. The pate was superb and beautifully presented and the turkey roast was delicious, tender meat, lashings of gravy, lovely stuffing and roast potatoes, crisp veg....

Lunch with friends, personally found it hard to find something that I fancied on the menu, I only wanted a snack so I went for a toasted sandwich, presentation was excellent, however, the toast was overdone, the filling was sparing, the vegetable crisps were soft and stale and the salad had wilted possibly a few hours before! My friends meals...

Went for the 3 course lunch special at £9.99 - all the courses were very small in portion size. Main course Ludlow faggot was of a good flavour - pity there was only the one. Service was ok - nothing really outstanding for me to want to return to this establishment.

Sorry there was only 1 faggot (which are huge and most people can't finish) on your 3 COURSES FOR £9.99. We make very little profit from our very generous 3 COURSES FOR £9.99 and when all said and done, we are a business not charity. You would have been welcome to double up your portions if you felt they were...
