We stayed at the hotel on Saturday on a package deal. I have to say how much we enjoyed our stay. What people have to remember is that the hotel is very old. Some of the communal ares do look a bit tired but the room was fine. It is clean and comfortable with everything that you need. The staff...

My wife and I came here last week for the afternoon tea which was part of my wife's birthday present, The staff on arrival were helpful and pleasant and well versed up on the property and surrounding area, we were shown in to a very large dining room that was set out for meals and afternoon tea. The also very...

The hotel was very quiet when we arrived for a short break, but we were told that it had been very busy the previous week. The original house has been much extended and our room was in a rather plain extension. However, the room was clean and tidy and the meals we had were very good; Thanks chef. The leisure...

We had a family room. Large double and 2 decent size singles. Yeh room was very clean. The decor was modern and the room had a cosy warm feel to it. The bathroom was a little bit dated but was spotlessly clean, plenty of towels and little extras. The leisure facilities were first class. Decent pool and jacuzzi good size...

The room was tired, only one bedside table, the shower head desperately needed descaling. The general cleanliness was fine and all the staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was very disappointing, if felt more like a small B&B than a hotel. Limited choices, small portions and basic catering. Our hotel choice was due to the location being near to RAF...

Dear Kerryglover I am disappointed in the points you have raised as they are very unlike most we receive, in particular the breakfasts. Our food is cooked to order and there is a reasonable selection for a small hotel. I will ensure the shower head is checked and cleaned and try to find out about the bedside table too, but...

Awful evening at Haughton Hall. The food was dire and the acting from the murder mystery was even worse. What should have been a fun team night out was a damp squib. It really was murder. The fishcake was 95% potato and totally bland, the turkey dinner beige and tasteless, the risotto was fit for someone with no teeth and...

A very unfair comment but we know who left it and have had dealings with this group already. In a function of 90 guests where every other table gave great feedback on the night about the food and the entertainment, I have to say this review is not reflective of other peoples comments. The Murder Mystery actors, Its Murder are...

Arriving at the circular drop of point at the ‘front’ of the hotel, noting the location of the car park from the easily missed crooked metal and lichen covered sign I had to double check we had the front and not some oddly laid out side entrance. After a moment I spied the wording above the door identifying that it...

Dear Trufflesnufflers Haughton Hall obviously wasn't what you expected, but as you didn't even stay the night at the Hotel, it's hard to respond to a very odd review and your take on things. Probably for the best. Regards Nicola Mason General Manager

Attended last night for Christmas party, food was nice, but there was no extra rolls. Unable to open a tab. Room very old fashioned needs updating, bed uncomfortable and squeaking every time you turned over. Not overly impressed.

Dear Lorraine P Thanks for your review. Our party nights are very popular and offer good value with a 3 course meal and entertainment included. We always have a few spare bread rolls available but not enough for everyone to have 2 each as that would be very wasteful, so am sorry you didn't get an extra one. We only...

I stayed for only one night in room 54 at the front of the main building in a detached block and the room was quiet, clean, tidy and comfortable. I took advantage of the hotels discounted dinner and had a reasonable meal (three courses for £20). My only criticism being that I did not think the menu had been changed...

Dear toddystours Thanks very much for your nice comments. I'm glad you enjoyed the food, with the restaurant being good value especially when you book in advance on dinner, bed and breakfast. The menu changes twice a year, with the next version starting during January 2017 and I look forward to your return when you can try some of the...

My husband and I have now stayed at Haughtiness Hall on two occasions and have been very pleased both times. The first time we were given a room in one of the more modern annexes which was fine - clean, tidy ,warm and comfortable but without the atmosphere of the main house, so last weekend we opted to pay more...

Dear happygirl68 It's so good of you to share you experience with us about your recent stay. The rooms in the original manor house certainly have more character, and I'm glad you enjoyed the homemade shortbreads and hopefully the large screen LED TV with Sky and BT Sports too? On a cold day, it's also nice to spend time in...
