I can't rate this luxury guest house highly enough. Alex and Lorraine are wonderful hosts who welcomed us into their home and genuinely nothing was too much trouble from flexibility with meal times, culinary tips and advice on local attractions. The rooms were all spotlessly clean, modern and very comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for either, Lorraine's cooking was...

We were celebrating a birthday weekend away from it all. Comfort, good food, the odd glass of wine, walks, welsh scenery and a real welcome were all on the last of requirements. We got them all. Oh & we also got the Welsh weather as well, RAIN. From the moment we arrived our Alex & Lorraine made us welcome. We...

We stayed 2 nights at the Dolffanog Fawr in early July. It turned out to be by far the best accomodations of our entire trip to the UK. Alex and Lorraine are wonderful hosts and did everything possible to make our stay a lasting memory. We booked the Wnion room that is located by itself away from other rooms. The...

Excallent b&b. Quality rooms, fittings and facilities, superb food and great hosts - friendly and helpful. Ideally placed as a base for Cadair Idris and other hills and mountains in south Snowdonia. Plenty of other attractions nearby.

We chose this B&B due to all the good reviews and needing a place to stay with our young Labrador dog! We stayed 3 nights in early June. The place exceeded all of our expectations. The house was what you would expect of a boutique hotel. I almost thought it was too good and nice for our dog to stay...

Having never stayed at a B&B before, and never have holidayed with our pup, we really didn't know what to expect. On arrival any worries we had were completely eased. Lorraine and Alex welcomed us into their home - Dog included! The bedroom was wonderful - they had even left a doggy towel and a couple of treats for Jenson...

We last visited Alex and Lorraine's fab B&B in September last year and loved it so much we vowed to return as we drove away! And we kept that promise and have just left after our second great stay with the guys. This really is so much more than a bog standard B&B! Alex and Lorraine (and their really lovely...

Had a pleasant and relaxing stay at Dolffanog Fawr, helped by some astonishingly beautiful weather. The location is perfect, with scenery that really has to be seen to be believed. Great room, warm welcome, lovely food and at a great price. Very much recommended.

stayed here to get away from routine and never been so relaxed. Food absolutely awesome! Rooms cosy, clean and high quality. Enjoyed the solitude of no mobile reception and sitting in the hottub under the stars. can only recommend. Best B&B I have stayed at so far.

My wife and I found this B&B approximately 4 years ago, it has become our Welsh mountain hideaway. Alex and Lorraine are wonderful people and most excellent hosts. The house is beautiful, we have stayed in almost all of the rooms over the past few years and I have never been disappointed. The location is idyllic with views that are...
