Lovely clean, modern hotel which looks to be fairly new. The room was comfortable and adequate. I didn’t like the bare concrete wall but that’s my personal opinion. Free parking in a good location near to jcn 23 of the M5 and a short drive from the town. Impressive service from all staff encountered. We really enjoyed our meal in the restaurant and drinks were reasonably priced.
Fantastic stay, really helpful freindly staff, great price, food really good quality and reasonably priced. Well built hotel, couldnt hear comings and goings of others and dog friendly. Great stop over location ready for Newquay. Will visit again.
First things first, this place is super clean and modern, as expected for a hotel that has only just recently opened. The prices are fair and the staff are very welcoming. Only downside was not being able to get a WiFi connection, and none of us could get any signal on phones. With that said, it’s a perfect place if you’re wanting to go away and switch off, will be coming back!
Absolutely fantastic! My two night stay from start to finish was top draw. Hotel staff very welcoming and friendly. The hotel was immaculate & super clean. My room was excellent. Very clean, nice bed, brilliant shower. Will definitely stay again. Thank you to everyone at IBiS Bridgwater.
We had booked a holiday in the area and had to change our plans the week before. Our stay at the Ibis was the best choice we could have made. Great location as a base for visiting the area. Wonderful welcome, everything was clean and fresh. We expected basic and Ibis are known to deliver all you need, which it did, and was perfect for us. We were not intending to eat at the hotel however the food and service were excellent especially the fish and chips and the steak - the pepper sauce was exceptional - the tastiest I have had in a long time. Black coconut ice cream was a revelation and a new experience. Yum. They also made the best virgin mojito! Love that they use local suppliers. Breakfast - Julie provided the cheeriest and warmest welcome to set your day up with the best attitude. Nothing was too much trouble, you only had to ask and if it was possible it would be supplied, anything from vegetarian or gluten free breakfast items to helping with advice on places to visit. There was always good choice for breakfast and the items were kept refreshed regularly and not excessive, so you knew the items had not been hanging around like you see elsewhere. The Ibis may be on an industrial estate but that ensures easy access to motorways and links to so many areas, easy parking and none of the issues you can sometimes experience in central town locations. Lovely and quiet in the rooms. Georgia (receptionist) and Tyler (an apprentice chef) both live locally and were so helpful with suggestions of places to visit (or avoid) a credit to both Bridgwater and the Hotel. Chris from their maintenance team also deserves a mention for his ingenuity due to having to recover an item that had dropped behind a fixed unit. When we left we felt like we were leaving friends behind rather than just departing from a hotel. On our way home we stayed at Manor House for a night which was theoretically the height of luxury but it was lacking in so much compared with the team and our experience at the Ibis Bridgwater. A great team or rather they appear to be more of an Ibis family…..…
