This is our local pub and since Shaun and charlott have taken over last year it's gone from strength to strength. We regularly eat here as a couple or with family and friends and we all love it. Food is wonderful, and there is always something lovely on the special board. It's homely and spotlessly clean, here's to many more great...

Stayed here with my wife overnight, and must say was well happy with everything. The welcome was great and the check in was really smooth. The chalets at the rear of the pub were very clean and spacious, with no negatives at all.The food (we had the steak)was excellent,as was the drink, and the staff were excellent too. Would recommend the malt shovel to...

I came here whilst on business I usually stay at the Blackmore farm down the road but tried here for a change and was very happy with the stay. I stayed in one of the rooms at the back of the pub it was a large room with double bed on suite bath and shower and built in wardrobe and...

Came here for sunday lunch although we hadn't booked staff managed to fit us in. We chose carvery although there were other options and found it to be very good with plenty of choice and veg regularly topped up. Desserts were nicely presented with a good choice but took a while to arrive. Pub with character, friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere,...

Sunday lunch was a real delight here - on arrival we were welcomed at the door and shown to our table. From start to finish this was more than about food, it was about true customer service. Many places do a carvery for Sunday and we have tasted the good, the reasonable and the down right awful. This was excellent!...

Highly approved of. A new, young management team impressed us when we stayed over a few days ago. They are dog-friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Breakfast was filling and tasty. The place has recently been pretty much refurbished. Not expensive. They deserve to do well !

Wonderfully cosy pub with comfortable seating . Where we were made to feel extremely welcome by the staff. There was an excellent range of beers reasonably priced for a countryside venue. Use a set nav to get there or phone ahead if you do not know the area.

This was an absolute gem of a b and b. Yes check in wasn't supposed to be until 17.00 but we arrived a little early and we were welcomed straight away. The rooms are little chalets at the rear of the Inn and were lovely and clean with plenty of room and a very comfy bed. The bathroom was nice...

Last minute trip to meet up with family in area, had stayed previously but with new people now running was unsure what to expect. The rooms are purpose built in grounds of the inn and are of a reasonable standard if a little tired but this new young team have only been in situ for about 7 weeks and already...
