Castle of Comfort is a privately owned hotel and restauraunt. Very comfortable rooms each one different. Carol and Julie couldnt be more helpful. Carol even drove us to our appointment as we missed the bus. I had pheasant for dinner and it was excellent. I recomend the cheese board as well. All food is locally sourced and of high quality....

What a fantastic place. A very warm welcome with a complimentary somerset cream tea. Catered brilliantly for gluten free. Room was modern, roomy, bright with lots of little extras and lovely toiletries in the large ensuite shower room.we even had a little porch entrance where we could leave coats and shoes etc out of the main room. I can't praise this hotel highly enough. The two sisters who run it have pitched it perfectly - every luxury you could possibly wish for from a top class hotel, with the warmth, friendliness and personal touch you'd get in the very best B&B. I took my mum - who is pretty disabled. They did everything they possible could to...

My husband, daughter and myself all stayed for a few days in this lovely hotel. Right from the start we felt welcome, as we were shown two rooms, one traditional the other more modern and we chose which we wanted. My daughter chose the modern which was very clean and well equipped, with a huge walk in shower. We took...

Although it was early afternoon we really fancied a classic cream tea and were not disappointed. We were welcomed at the door and shown to a comfortable lounge. The hotel looked good from the outside and the grounds beautifully kept. The cream tea was large and we could not eat it all and took a couple of the scones away....

Had a lovely 3 night stay here over August Bank holiday. Staff all very friendly and welcoming, particularly one of the owners, Carol. Food in restaurant is excellent. Dinner great and a good choice at breakfast too. We had a classic double room which was excellently equipped with complimentary sherry and a great team and coffee selection, replenished daily. Hotel...

We stayed here for one night - and so wished we'd stayed for 2,3, or 4!! We had a lovely room with a huge super-king bed, complete with sherry, peanuts, biscuits, fresh coffee, fresh milk ... perfect!! The room was quiet as we were away from the road, bed was fabulously comfy, bathroom lovely with its walk-in rain shower! What's...

We had such a lovely stay here! Carol was so welcoming and went so out of her way to make sure it was especially enjoyable. We were upgraded to a Superior room (fabulous), and having given us an anniversary drink on the house, she then drove us to and from the local Indian restaurant! We had lovely weather and so...

Room 1 was spacious and comfortable, bathroom lovely but why no modern mixer taps ? Dinner for us and 2 friends was very good as was breakfast. Staff all cheerful and welcoming. Would recommend as a good base for exploring the beautiful Quantocks. Noise from the busy A39 did not bother us as had anticipated ! Maybe too much of...
