We stayed one night to break up a long journey and were very glad we chose this hotel. The restaurant served tasty, well priced food and rooms were quiet with comfortable beds, just what we needed! From check in to checkout, we felt welcomed at the hotel and would stay again if travelling in the area.

The staff are very friendly and accommodating in this hotel with good suggestions and helpful in giving guidance. The rooms are good and clean. The location is just beside the main road with amenities surrounding. Haven’t tried the food yet but will try next time.

Overall our experience was excellent despite starting off a little strange ~ one poor lady who (according to her) was doing "everything" (Restaurant, Bar, Room Checks and Check in) she seemed VERY stressed and that part of the service was not excellent we were given no directions to our room ~ just given the key and told the number. The room itself was well equipped and spacious, the TV was a bit small for such a large room and the bed and pillows a little soft (for us anyway) however the bathroom was like stepping into a 70s time warp and was desperately in need of updating ~ a blue bath and shower with a white basin. The food was tasty and massive portions. Overall good value for money and we would consider returning.

Room Tip: Bridgewater Town is a bit run down and not really with a visit.

We booked an "executive" room. The only executive things were tat it was large and had a trouser press. Supposed to be a "large" double bed and it was standard. The bathroom was clean enough but looking very tired. The food in the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast was very good and the overall service was fine.

We stayed for one night and had a great stay. Our room was spacious very clean and well equipped. Breakfast was delicious with a great choice on the menu. We left a set of keys behind and the lady at reception contacted us and very kindly returned them to us. We are very grateful for such kind caring hotel staff. We will return to the Walnut Tree in the future.
