We had a three night stay in October and it was lovely. The owners make you very welcome and are ready with information or maps you can borrow. Porlock is a lovely village and Overstream didn't disappoint, everywhere very clean, a lovely welcome, a great breakfast. Would happily return! Hope they manage to save the Porlock-Minehead bus service at the...

Booking a guest house in Britain can be a bit of a lottery, even with Tripadvisor advice – many are good in parts, but with some distinctly odd quirks! Fortunately Overstream is one of the wholly good ones – pretty much everything a good B&B should be. It started well when we were shown to our room – we’d booked...

I visited Porlock with 3 friends to attend a friends wedding party in the village hall that evening. We shared one double room and one twin. The owners made us very welcome and treated us to tea and cakes on our arrival (all home baked and absolutely delicious). The rooms were very comfortable and extremely quiet (mind you, all of...

We were on a 19 days roundtrip by car in England and Porlock was one of six destinations we visited. The Overstream Guest House was without any doubt the very best B&B one of all. The room was quite large, very clean, tidy and nicely and individually decorated. The full English breakfast was delicious. The owners were very friendly, professional...

owing to very heavy traffic on our way we rang our hosts to make them aware that we may not arrive before the latest check in time of 8 o'clock. Nick could not have been more helpful and even advised that we may want to eat prior to arriving as pubs & restaurants locally stop serving food a 9pm. On...

We stayed here for a couple of nights for the August Bank Holiday, the owners were very friendly and helpful and made us very welcome. Unfortunately, we were unable to make breakfast at 8am because we were there for a rest as we both have demanding jobs so we were looking forward to a lay-in and not clock watching so...

Thank you for your review of your recent stay with us and we are pleased that you enjoyed your stay. We just wanted to mention that each room is equipped with a fan heater, which also blows cool air if needed. This is kept in the wardrobe. Also, that we do serve breakfast up to 9.00 am, but if guests...

We had a very warm welcome on arrival from our hosts Maggie and Nick, along with a very comprehensive introduction to the area and a most welcome complimentary tea and homemade cakes in the front garden. (We also chose to try a homemade cream tea on another occasion) Overstream is well positioned in Porlock being very central and there are...

We stayed at Overstream for five nights and were sad to leave. Maggie gave us a wonderful warm welcome and once we settled in offered us tea and home made cake. Very yummy. My partner says her tiffin cake was the best she had ever had. The room was very clean and comfortable. Nic welcomed us every morning at breakfast...
