We visited the restaurant for lunch on a Sunday before driving home and were quite honestly very unimpressed with the quality of the food. I had scampi & chips and it was like they'd just gotten frozen Iceland food and whacked it in the oven, not what you expect for £9.50. My partner ordered ham, egg & chips and it was OK but again, for 3 slices of packet ham, a fried egg and some chips, very overpriced. We were left disappointed and annoyed that we'd spent over £30 on basic and poor food. Will not be returning and would not recommend.

What a great place. The food is so reasonably-priced and is so, so tasty. The staff are friendly. Lovely local pub in the village. We will definitely be returning next time we're in Watchet. My lads were happy the football was on too. Definitely worth a visit. Thank you.

We popped in for a few drinks in the late afternoon and sat in the rear beer garden. The inside looked nice and recently modernised but as it was a hot we sat outside. I enjoyed 2 great beers until staff told us we would have to leave as the pub was closing due to a Covid case. Shame as we'd have liked to stay longer. Will return again.

Was a bit nervous going in for food at first, as looked like a real locals pub. 100% pleasantly surprised. Food was good and one of the best pints of thatchers I’ve ever had. Could do with some modernisation inside, hence the first impressions, but if you take the leap, it’s well worth it
