Stayed here for 2 nights - had booked a family room but we got 2 connecting rooms - which was a bonus. First impression was that everything looked nice - nice furniture and clean white bed linen. On closer inspection however, this place is tired and needs a good overhaul - shower was rubbish - either freezing or boiling hot...

Found Peter helpful at booking and pre-arrival. Seemingly popular pub with friendly locals. First impression on walking to room was not exactly spotless but in fairness once in room, all was clean and nice white bedding. Slightly strange finding our towels on the shower floor..... Watch corners of wooden beds - a couple of nice bruises as a souvenir! Beds...

The description on booking.com is very misleading. The room was very very small with a small velux window, very claustrophobic. The shower door was barely hanging and it did not flush.. Breakfast mediocre, staff did not really care. Avoid weekend as the rooms are above a very noisy pub!

There are a few areas that could be improved, such as the water leak damage to the ceiling that hasn't been covered, the slow running cold water tap in the bathroom and the small amounts of wall paper that has been ripped. But...

Stayed here for 3 nights midweek, tidy rooms and pub area is nice selling a verity of larger, cider & bitter. It is a popular local pub but does go quiet by 11 - 11.30. Food is good on site and the breakfasts are hearty. There are more places to eat nearby. Overall a very pleasant stay

Although we didn't stay at the hotel, we used the Dolphins amenities for a BBQ on the sat after our sons wedding to Laura, (local girl) we all had a fantastic day in the sunshine with family and friends, they also put the football on in lounge for the concerned in a lovely little lounge. Many thanks to the proprietor...
