We stayed here one night on our way back to London. This was also a good location for us to visit magical StourIhead estate nearby. We arrived a bit late and left almost immediately for dinner at a nearby village. The house is beautifully renovated and full of interesting paintings and books. Our room was on the second floor. Sleeping...

We made our booking in order to attend a wedding at Yarlington House. We received a warm welcome from Lavinia and were treated to afternoon tea in the drawing room. As we were the only guests that evening we were given a choice of two delightful bedrooms. As we had failed to prebook an evening meal at the Rectory Farm...

Pulling up to a grand house in a secluded country lane and into a lush, grown in garden felt just like home. Warmly welcomed by Lavinia and shown the drill at a super fast speed due to us getting to a wedding on time her charm and friendliness shone through. shown to a stunning en-suite room with traditional interiors we...

We know Rectory Farmhouse well. Living in California with a 100 year old Mother living near Bath requires that we find somewhere to stay that we like. Thus over the last 5 years we have spent 23 nights on 9 separate occasions at the farmhouse. We have found the welcome and service consistently good. Lavinia is a good cook and...

We have stayed in Rectory Farmhouse on several occasions and never been disappointed. Each visit has been memorable and the most recent no exception. The welcome we receive is always extremely warm and friendly, so much so that one is made to feel part of the family. The house is beautifully furnished and has a wonderful country house atmosphere. The beds...

I had booked a one week cookery course at the Ashburton Cookery School in Devon. I wanted to drive down there but, rather than do it in one day I decided to break my journey and Rectory Farm House was a convenient stopping point. The directions on the map were very clear but, as a useful tip (if coming from...

Tasteful B&B in both food and décor, with friendly hospitable hosts.. We arrived late, but were still welcomed with tea and homemade biscuits in the lovely garden. We came with friends and we each booked a room with own bathroom, ours was on suite, our friends was adjacent. Lovely grand Georgian house in a quite country setting, with traditional quality...

We stayed at Rectory Farm House for a weekend in early June. Our hosts were very charming and welcoming and made us feel completely at home. Thanks to their attention to our every need, we had a perfect weekend. The house is beautiful and stylishly done and so restful, without a sound to spoil the tranquillity. Lavinia's breakfasts were delicious...

A luxury B&B with traditional furnishings in a tranquil rural location. Lavinia welcomed us as guests into her home, brought us coffee and was the perfect hostess. The room and separate private bathroom were very comfortable & luxurious and everything you could possibly need was provided. Breakfast was excellent - the mushrooms I had were memorable. I would recommend this...

Rectory farm house is a very very nice place, surrounded by countryside that looked beautiful, even in the very changeable English November/December weather. The room and bathroom were big and very nicely furnished. Comfy bed. I especially appreciated the hot water bottles, when coming "home" rather late on a cold night. Breakfast was also great, and the hostess was extremely...
