Stayed after a tiring day at Alton Towers, met by Margaret who was warm and welcoming. Room was a spotless small room with a wonderfully comfy bed under the old beams. We dozed off to the relaxing sound of the water features in the garden. Tea and coffee in the room, a hot shower and a really good cooked breakfast - exactly what we needed. Recommended.

Stayed here with our two children after a very long day at Alton Towers. It's a 5 minute drive from the theme park. Has lots of character, the family room is a good size, the breakfast was great, just right. The price was good, FAR cheaper than the theme park. There's a lovely pub down the road (Talbot Inn) with a huge beer garden, great food (bit pricey though). Would stay again

Delightful accommodation with very friendly owners. The cottage is beautiful with colourful gardens. Our room for 2 was just right with a comfortable bed and oak beams everywhere. The village of Alton is well worth a visit with its attractive stone cottages and excellent pubs. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We stayed here with our two children after an exhausting day at Alton Towers. It's literally a 5 minute drive from the theme park, I have to say I can't fault it. The property has bags of character, the room was a good size and comfortable, and we slept really well. The English breakfast was first class, just right before a long journey home. Margaret and her husband were respectful of Covid 19, and nothing was too much trouble. The price was very good (much better value than the theme park), and we'll certainly be staying here again. There's a lovely pub down the road (Talbot Inn) with a huge beer garden, great food. Thanks Margaret, you'll be our first choice when we return to the area.

My husband and I just spent 3 nights at this B&B and it was absolutely wonderful. Our room was small, cosy and warm and Margaret's breakfast is unparalleled! All facilities were wonderful and the room had such character with a comfy bed. Perfect for our trip to Alton towers for Halloween and will absolutely be back when we visit in future. Highly recommend and thank you to Margaret for a wonderful stay.
