The room itself is perfect for what you need but the room is only the tip of the iceberg. The owner is a wonderful lady the pub is welcoming and has the classic pub feel that makes everyone feel at ease, I would recommend this place to everyone!

Just the loveliest old fashioned place in a beautiful location. Margaret and her family were so friendly and children were welcome! We stayed with another family for 2nights as visiting Alton Towers.. this place is 7 mins away, so perfect! Our family stayed in one of the chalets, it may be old fashioned but it was clean and that's all that matters, breakfast was lovely and kept us going for the day! We ate here the first night... just lovely home made food and would definetly recommend to eat here if you stay too! Margaret you were a pleasure and we will be back!

We booked our friends in for a weekend. They stayed in a lovely chalet, clean with comfortable beds, fluffy pillows, warm quilts and cotton sheets ...win! The food in the evening was excellent, traditional fayre with a good menu to choose from. There was a good selection for breakfast too which also included a full English...hash, eggs how you like them, sausage, bacon, beans, mushrooms and tomatoes if you still had room. Margaret the host was lovely as we're all the staff who were friendly and accommodating, nothing was to much trouble. The well stocked bar and the friendly banter made us feel relaxed and at home. Excellent value would definatly recommend couples, families and fiends!

Honest review… the lady Margaret was a lovely lady, that’s where the good ends I’m afraid, we had a chalet with a double bed and bunk beds, the double bed was seriously uncomfortable, it was the worst sleep I have had in years! The kids said the same about the bunk beds, the windows were covered in cobwebs and the bathroom left a lot to be desired, black mould/grime all over the shower, we had a long day so just got on with it! Before bed we ate in the bar, it wasn’t the best food to be honest, my sons chicken nuggets looked grey, not a good sign, I had the Angus burger but it was as tough as Tyson Fury! The prices didnt reflect the poor quality! We then endured a sleepless night (as stated above) we then had a full English and the kids had bacon sandwiches, she asked if they wanted them buttered, the sandwich came smothered in Marge and I mean smothered! It was inedible, the full English was ok but small however the price for this was reasonable. I wouldn’t return here if honest, it definitely needs some improving especially the beds, it’s a shame as it has potential, a good clean and new mattresses and it would be ok, minus the Marge! We wouldn’t return

This was our second stay at Peakstones Inn whilst visiting Alton Towers. Margaret was as accommodating as ever despite the late notice of our booking. We stayed in one of the chalets which was a double and bunk beds all of which were clean, comfortable and suited our needs. Hospitality tray and TV were available and a beautifully cooked steak in the bar. I ate in the bar by myself and Margaret and Katie kept me company which was lovely. Breakfast was great as before too. Thank you Margaret and your team. Forever our No. 1 choice to stay at when in the area.

We stayed here for 2 nights for our Alton Towers trip. The place is near the theme park around 5 minutes away. The view is really nice with lots of animals around by just looking your window (sheeps, cows , & horses). Really spacious room & good amenities. We definitely going back.

We stayed here for a 2 day trip with 7 of us. We had 2 rooms and visited alton towers both days. The lady who owns the inn is so lovely and all staff have been so accommodating. One of our family members has celiac and therefore, eating out is a struggle most of the time. The staff were so accommodating and we ALL enjoyed breakfast and dinner both evenings with no complaints which very rarely happens with us. Very close to Alton Towers and was a lovely stay. Will be back, and would definitely recommend. Thank you Margaret for your hospitality.

Lovely and clean chalet with comfy beds in beautiful countryside. The pub has a lovely country rustic character. The couple running it were lovely and the food was great. They were also patient with our young kids. The “piggery” no longer has the teddies on the ceiling since Covid and there isn’t a play park anymore. About 7 minutes drive to Alton Towers.

Stayed at Peakstones Inn Thursday night with my partner. Margaret was a brilliant host, very friendly and more than happy to answer any questions that we had. The beds were very comfortable and as there are no adjoining buildings the night was very quiet and I couldn’t hear any road traffic at all. This inn is 8 minutes from Alton Towers and 30 minutes from Trentham monkey forest so the location is perfect.
