Agree with the lady who wrote 'the bed should have been condemned'! The place is filthy, the furnishings are old and dated. Receptionist was rude and initially unavailable at both check in and check out. I was given another customer's personal details when I checked in, complete with their name and home address. I had to point out this was...

I had not slept well on my single bed, so decided to check the condition of the mattress upon the morning of my departure. I have stopped here for many nights due to work and always had a pleasant stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and tidy and the food is good. A small improvement would be irons in the rooms. Otherwise enjoy your stay!

They are the good points but forget a pleasant country inn think Indian take away meets retirement home and you have the charm level. Place lacks any love but is a place to lay your head in Burton. Not much around but the micro brewery pub opposite is worth a visit.

Booked an executive double room on DBB. We had a third floor room overlooking the brewery. Reasonable size, new carpets and a modern bathroom with a big bath. Decent car parking and right in the town centre near the river. We only had one set of towels and we only found out too late in the morning. Good breakfast with...
