Very enjoyable and friendly place to stay. Friendly greeting when we arrived and were shown our room. Rook was clean and tidy with nice 4 poster bed. Dinner was pleasant with good sized portions. Very friendly helpful attentive staff. Room was nice and quiet and had a good nights sleep. Full English breakfast again good quality and decent portions Hotel was spotlessly clean with staff making sure if a safe environment in line with c19 guidlines. Hole to be back for another stay

I recently stay there for 2 nights in a double room, when I arrived I was greeted by the manager Jess who couldn’t do enough for us, she booked us a table for dinner at night and I asked if I could have a bottle of wine sent to the room. Nothing is to much trouble for them, amazing staff friendly gorgeous setting on the lake. We will definitely visit again 5 stars from us.

Stayed here with my wife and 3 children we were given room one. This room was very spacious and had excellent facilities. Had a meal in the restaurant at tea time and definitely recommend the burgers and the steak from the grill. The location of the hotel can not be faulted and the staff were so accommodating. We 100% recommend this restaurant and hotel.

We visited the Hotel Rudyard after Christmas for an overnight stay. The hotel had good public rooms and a fantastic location. However we were placed in room 7. The mattress was shot with springs popping up at different times through the night. My wife had no bedside cabinet or night light and the bathroom door could not be shut since it jammed and could not open. The furniture in the room was so poor it looked like it had been rejected by the rag and bone man. For breakfast I usually have a continental breakfast but there was nothing they could offer me except toast. No fruit, rolls, croissants, yoghurts and a very limited range of cereals. I emailed the hotel with my concerns and received a curt reply stating that they planned to refurbish room7. Not much comfort since they rented it to me.
